Theresa May - Dead woman walking?

Again. For millions of people it wasn't. You just like to think it was because it conveniently gives you something to bleat on and on about ad nausium rather than actually engage some unbiased grey matter and debate the subject intellectually with someone.

Anyone who thinks the referendum result wasn't primarily about immigration is living in cloud cuckoo land.Certainly Mrs May got the message. That's why she was so keen to unveil new plans for post-Brexit immigration at the Tory party conference.

Cloud Cuckoo land....Is that in Northern Spain?

You mean like you're doing here? :Winking:

So one man's experiences and opinions and you agree with him without having one shred of personal experience from living and working here. You have absolutely no clue, none.

Once again Barna, once again. Nice one.

Also, if you'd taken the time to research the young man and you'd realise he's got one almighty great chip on his shoulder.

Anyone see Question Time last night? The young black panelist rightly said,IMO,that Britain was a xenophobic sociey. https://www.bbc.com/news/av/uk-45756566/least-racist-claim-prompts-question-time-row

When I was in Spain back in June, the only jobs for Black men were 'looky looky' or selling lolly pops in the gents.

Women of colour have more options as prostitution is so popular in Spain. Or they get the cleaning jobs in the hotels.

All the important jobs are for Spainish. Even every cab has a local driving it...…£100 for a 35 minute trip to the airport. So once the que and get a fare back on an EU funded motorway that's £200 for 2 hours work.

White privilege and apartheid work really well in Spain. We should adopt your system here in the UK...…..Then we wouldn't be so xenophobic.

I'd imagine as we're all white middle aged men, none of us have experienced racism so perhaps George The Poet can speak with far more experience that any of us, and perhaps his "almighty great chip" is justified? Have you been arrested for standing outside your own mother's house? I know I haven't.

I'm white and middle aged and have experienced lots of racism.

Massive hornets nest this racism stuff. Personally I think the whole "white hetrosexual men are he most discriminated against these days" line that some put out is complete and utter bollocks. The only racism I can say I have ever experienced is based on me being in an interracial relationship and I can't say it really bothered me or my other half, we pretty much laughed it off and still laugh about those incidents now.

I think what has been missed is that the point was about Xenophobia, not racism. In the circles I move in for work and the city in general, I'd say Britain was far from Xenophobic. I come out of the city and down the local boozer etc and I see a different picture. Like most things we have found lately the country is completely divided

As I've pointed out to you before in nearly 40 years of living in Spain I've only observed one overt case of racism towards a young black man and that was over 20 years ago now.

Certainly Spain is less of a multicultural society than the UK is,more's the pity.

The guy in the audience wasn't saying there is no racism, he was just pointing out that Britain is one of the better places to live for Jhony Foreigner compared to the rest of the world.

If the worst example for angry George to come up with is "I was stopped outside my mums house".......Well I was stopped and searched outside the away end at Wycombe on Saturday. We even had local plod spotters eyeing us and down on the station platform when we arrived. I accept you cant be to careful dealing with middle age white hetrosexuals, They can get a bit rowdy after 2 craft beers.

Can't think why Spain got tipped bollocks over their Olympic bid in 2010 after that explaination.

Maybe if you spend some time outside of your white middle class bubble, you may just change your narrow preconceived thinking......On all things to do with race and the British working class.

You might even be able to give a sensible awnser rather than avoid the facts about the institutional racism in Spain.

You know absolutely nothing about my lifestyle in Barcelona. What on earth makes you think I live in a "white middle class bubble" I've no idea.

When you can provide some facts about "institutional racism" in Spain, as opposed to spouting ignorant prejuidice, I'll be pleased to read them.

It's difficult to quantify his assertion in any meaningful way.In any case what is important I would have thought is not that we're number 3 or two in the non-racist Olympics but that we abolish racism everywhere.
