Until some people on here open their view that it isnt always Ron with the issues we arent going to get anywhere.

Ron is a leach and has been killing us for years but for gods sake guys pull your heads out the sand and understand that it isnt just Ron causing issues and isnt just him who has contributed to us getting to this stage (albeit Ron is the biggest issue).

I dont know how many more times some people need to be told by consortium members etc that the council are the ones holding this up on this occasion and not Ron. We can all go and protest at Rons but is that going to achieve anything if the issue is on the council side?

The council are useless with everything. None of them can tell the difference between their arse and their elbow and Anna's recent update appears to show that she hasnt got an idea what is going on at the moment fully. Matt Dent for example made a comment the other day which showed he clearly wasnt aware of what was going on. Anna's comments today - are they correct or wide of the mark? The difference in comments from different parties is so different yet I would much rather believe the man in charge of the consortium who must clearly hate Ron over politicians who arent involved much at all with them.

For those of you that want to take action (and I fully agree with the reasons behind it) then it needs to be aimed at the correct people. The hatred for Ron is the same as Man Utd fans hatred to the Glazers which means that anyone else not pulling their weight gets a free ride (Erik Ten Haag) but in our case the people who have always had a free ride is the council. They are constant failures like Ron.

May I suggest protests alternatively at council offices and Rons house so they are both getting it?

I know I will get shot down by the usual suspects but everyone needs to take a step back and look at what is happening and what key people are saying is going on.

For the record I personally think Ron wants something in writing from the council around moving the properties over to Fossetts and the council are getting cold feet about doing this. They are a catastrophic failure with almost every large project they have any involvement with like Ron.

They almost certainly cannot put anything in writing regarding any planning application - they can and have already had one meeting to provide initial support on changing the financial agreement to lease the flats.

I'd note the consortium is not a party in the Ron / council negotiations - so where are they getting their info from that it is the council holding up - Ron?

Cold feet or maybe they are tied to legal planning processes. Time is up. Tell him to get it done by the end of the week or the property deal isn’t happening. It would break my heart to see the club crumble, but if it ruined Martin and family it would soften the blow a smidgen.

Just saying to my wife if nothing happens over the next few days how on earth can Kevin and the players be expected to play 3 games over the Christmas period in only 8 days , the national league Ernest in helping usseriously need to step in and help the club find a solution very quickly,
Agree, although I don’t think they have any interest in helping us

Do we vote out politicians that lie? They have learned that by and large they get away with it, especially if it’s what people want to hear.
I know this is politics but I think it's relevant given the topic of whether Anna (who I do believe wants the best for us within her remit) would be honest. Rory Stewart (former Tory MP) released an excellent memoir recently about his time in parliament. It gives a very eye opening account of how much pressure MPs are to parrot the party line even if they don't agree with it just because party politics doesn't work without a unified front (as an example a naive Stewart said he'd be voting against something the party proposed because of how passionate he was against it, he was told that would mean he spent the next 4 years on the backbenches, which is exactly what happened after he voted "no") and that unfortunately means MPs often have to twist the truth to avoid killing their career.

Anna Firth might be telling the truth but I don't think it's wrong for the trust to question whether she is given her career has to come first, even if it might not be nice. I know this will probably seem arrogant given I'm not involved (and maybe they're already doing it, in which case I'm sorry) but would it be that bad for the Trust to assume both sides aren't telling the whole truth and to put pressure on them both?

And if without sufficient commitment from SBC the charge holders on RH won’t transfer the charge or the development backers won’t provide funds to satisfy the charge?

Re the first point my question to you would be - would you trust the word of the council without getting it in writing? I wouldnt.

Re point 2 - numerous people have been told it by JR directly and I believe it was mentioned at the AGM last week too so no it hasnt come from Ron at all.

Apologies. I thought when you refered to "we" you meant the fanbase rather than a few people in a private conversation.
Where are we from your POV Liam? All seems a tangled web of nonsense and anguish. Is it a mixture of everything we’re hearing, i.e RM pishing for anything he can get, council being ponderous and a difficult deal to get done?

RM’s been pishing around for far too long

I think we're here👇

Ron needs to haggle over FF because none of it will get built by him/Jack. He just wants to sell land that has planning permission attached to it. To get a high enough sale value, he needs the biggest numbers he can get on a spreadsheet.

Ron is 70 and has no big plays left in his life. I don't believe he EVER cared about the club. I believe he is doing what he feels he needs to do to make his family richer. I believe Jack Martin is entirely self interested and is imagining the lawyer reading out a big number next to his name when his Dad dies like in the films.

I do not blindly believe Anna, or Tony C or any politician. But I do believe that Ron is a ****. So I think I know who is more likely to be telling the truth in all of this if/when both sides point the finger at each other.

Sounds about right. Pathetic excuse for a group of human beings.

I do wonder about this. For sure at the beginning there was no love of football. Now and then over the years it was conflicting. Far too much money made available to the wrong managers chasing promotion- was that purely because the club would be worth more as a result? That’s not how the reality of football works. I think he was a property developer first, then unexpectedly started to enjoy owning a football club and the attention it brings, then ego gets in the way of common sense and it all goes tits up.

For sure FF has resulted in him becoming the **** that won’t flush…

We have great new owners…..we just need a bunch of politicians and Ron & Co, a coming together of equally unreliable grifters, to for once deliver.

Yes sorry Liam, we spoke with him at the bar after the meeting and he shared a few things with us one of which was all is good to go just need the council to get their act together. Believe he said that to a few and JR said today also. So some mixed messages coming across at the moment … not fir the first time

What a mess and all the time poor Kev and the lads with no help from the NL somehow keep producing. But we are running out of bodies
