The State of Roots Hall

Apologises if this has already been posted.

Lawrence Austin doesn’t just deserve a medal: he and those fans deserve a football club.

Not sure what all the fuss is about.
It's an old building. Amply enough for those who have stood on open terracing since the 50's.
The players enjoy being close to the fans.
If you want a smart stadium. Support Chelsea! If you get a top tear seat, the players look like ants.
We are in the fifth league.
We are at RH for 3hrs at most. 20 games unless an FAcup run.
A drop of rain won't hurt.
*23 games unless you know something we don’t!

RH looking even better today. All the tracks around the pitch have been cleared and the pitch has been mown. Lot of work has been going on today from tradesmen.

Do we employ a team of groundsman anymore? Or are they underresourced? (As well as going unpaid) - not a criticism just wondering how the pitch and cinder track has got so bad?

Maybe they were too busy tending to the new training ground at Fossetts?

Thanks for the maths correction.
I neglected to thank all those that gave up a big part of Sunday to prepare for our first game.

I'm sure it won't be pretty but will be patched up enough to play on by Saturday
It was much much worse under Brown when the turf was literally scooping away under their boots. Was awful. Was so embarrassing listening to all the opposing managers bemoaning it. At the time, we didn't mind as much because we got wins against Wigan and the like. Was horrendous and totally dangerous though.

They hadn’t downed tools at all. They just didn’t have the money required to properly do the job as the club failed to provide any funding whatsoever.

Filling in the fox holes and maintaining the perimeter track doesn't cost anything - that's just labour.

It seems they're either under-resourced in man power or something else is amiss

If anyone’s thinking anything good will come from the likes of Ron Fartin……..well, we really are deep in the ****.
Moderator ! If you feel you have to tamper with and totally distort my measured and appropriate observation, try and apply some common sense and remove it completely.
