SUFC: The Future The regeneration of Roots Hall

I still find it absolutely baffling that The Groundsman, underneath the East, still only has one woman behind the bar.

She works incredibly hard, and is doing a fantastic job, however I tried to get a second pint at 2:30 and couldn’t get close to the bar.

They really need a second person. She is doing everything in there by herself. Even having a second person from 2pm, when people are leaving the Blue Boar, The Spread, The Railway, and squeezing another pint in before the match. There is next to zero chance of getting one in.

Or, potentially, pre-pouring pints. They only have Amstel or Cruzcampo on tap, this would speed things up, although I know some people won’t like that idea as the beers will just sit at room temperature for a period of time.

Also, if things are being reported back to the club, the toilets inbetween the Reds and Yellows, the hot water tap on the sink on the right hand side is leaking.

At least you've got hot water. Us in the West have gone without for about 15 years.

Apologises, I’ve not seen it if it has been covered, but the new eating/drinking establishment that was put in, was that accessible for home fans over in the west? If so, what was it like?

Tried to get a snack and drink with the boy at half time but unfortunately had to give up after only getting halfway to the front after 10 minutes! We still missed the second half kick off... I know it was obviously extra busy, but will be tempted to bring in outside stuff next time.

Not on Saturday, it was tantalisingly close but just out of reach on the other side of the closed gates at the back of the West where it leads around behind the North although we did get to have the noisy generators on our side. Hopefully we'll have access to it for the Yeovil game.

A real shame we couldn't have had some better options for the Charlton game, the back of the West was absolutely rammed. Bit of of a missed opportunity in my opinion but perhaps the logistics of doing it in time with everything else going on to get the NB fully operational was just too much.

Walking up the back where the current kiosks are located was a nightmare, even worse for the disabled supporters on crutches and in wheelchairs trying to manoeuvre up and back to their seats/wheelchair spots during half time. Appreciate there's not much we can do at the moment but thought has to be put into pulling down and rebuilding the entire structure at the back of the West to create more space and make it safer for our less abled supporters.

Edited to add that I was disappointed the kiosks in the West closed before the end of normal time, I really needed a drink at the start of extra time so the club lost out on a few quid there.

An article that really reinforces the saying that you shouldn't believe everything you read in the papers

Just be careful if you click on the video - I think it's Ron doing the voice over.

Agree with everything you have highlighted

Did anyone see the QR codes around the ground? I didn’t see any and certainly wanted to put my feedback across about the still lack of hand soap/hot water and working dryer in the South East corner toilets.
Sent an email to their feedback email address. Got a reply pretty quickly thanking me for my feedback, it was passed onto the ground manager to sort. This was after the Tamworth game. I didn’t make the Charlton game so plenty of time has passed.

Still zero improvement to the SE Corner Toilets. It’s pretty disappointing as I used the South Upper West side one on the way out and it had everything. It can be done, just don’t understand why that one toilet has been left to rot.

We had a Liaison Meeting Thursday and had specifically raised these toilets previously. We were told it had been done. They realised it had been a "forgotten" toilet and had now attended to it and put one of the soaps I donated in there so I am shocked to hear it is still the same.

Actually, @Ricey please clarify if this is the gents block by the steps or the individual toilets inside the turnstiles?

Hubby went down to the new food and drink outlet to get what he hoped would be a decent coffee and a bottle of pop for later in the game, to save having to go back. Ended up having a row with them because the confiscated the bottle lid - apparently a H&S directive from the SAG lot! Means more of us will be bringing drinks in from home with lids on so we can sip at them throughout - who wants to knock a whole bottle back in one go, more or less?! Also wasn't greatly impressed with the supposed latte.

Where one expects/suspects this to happen, e.g. in stadiums and events, can take a spare lid with you instead.

It is the ones as you go in through the turnstiles for the South stand in the SE corner by the food bit just to the right if that makes sense?

The tea bar was selling bottled drinks with lids on so strange these don’t
