The MSM is owned by the puppet masters. I prefer to speak to individuals I know, they are all smarter and more honest than any politician.
That's still avoiding the point, Riggers.
But I'm guessing you don't listen to politicians at any time, regardless of who and what they have to say.
My own viewpoint is to try and discern the agenda, bias, and get a sort-of balance weighing up all.
The Beeb isn't owned or directed as such, is it? But the current govt would like to.
Hence the reason it wants to dial down the corporation's impact having heavily criticised the govt doings over the last two years.
That doesn't sound like puppets dancing to me.

Hospitals are still very stricked where face masks and visitors are concerned.

My mum has been in hospital for 2 weeks now and she's restricted to one person at a time (bokking) and face masks.... It's understandable

Same in any health care setting at the moment.
We are being told we must continue with our PPE and also our testing of minimum of twice a week and a weekly PCR.
There are no plans in place at the present time to provide the testing kits (LFT) for us and I am guessing we will have to purchase these alongside everyone else which is a bit unfair if we are told we cannot work without testing and most certainly all the care homes I know insist on a negative LFT.

I would say that's very unfair if you work within the NHS or healthcare.

I did actually forget to mention that you have to prove neg before any visit...... My mum has had MS for about 25 years now, so slowly (quickly now) her immune system has gone. She's in a private room and not on a ward which makes a lot of sense with all the measures in place.

Same as my partners 94 1/2 yr old Mum, in Basildon Hosp. But my partner is the only person allowed to visit at all times.
She asked if she refrained from visiting one day could her daughter visit her nan, but was told 'no'!.

It's sad but you can sort of understand, they're trying to protect your partners mum. At least she has her daughter visiting every day :) That's the way I look at it. That's a ripe old age my friend :)

I lost my cousin to Covid (the big brother I never had) in mid January (his life support was switched off the day after his 70th birthday). Nature intervened which meant that me and four other cousins were unable to attend his funeral due to storm Eunice. As children we all lived within minutes of each other, I was just five doors away and will never be complacent about assuming covid is no longer a danger.

I wish her better and hopefully be well enough to return home soon which will probably make her feel safer too.

Under guidelines issued by the government if you are an "essential carer" they cannot restrict or refuse you entry

So much for 'living with COVID'.

Incidentally, noticed how COVID has completely disappeared from the news since the invasion of Ukraine?
That seems to happen a lot with media nowadays. They seem to grab one story and they literally do it to death. First it was the vote leave / vote remain. Then after the result it was all about the negotiations (only with a little rest bite when th Tories had a leadership contest) then it was Vivid, then it was Vivid partygate and now Ukraine.

Granted Ukraine is big news but some of the people they are interviewing. It's like they are desperate for anyone to provide them with a new quote so are literally interviewing any and every expert (Most of whom seem to be from America)

Covid is still here. Boris must be wishing the investigation speeds up so he can put out the findings and no one will notice as we are all far to concerned with what Putin is going to do next.

The problem is, my dad is getting frustrated and getting angry because of his age, reason goes out of the window. None of us are with him when he visits and it seems like he's not too friendly.

At this rate he'll end up with an ASBO ;) (not that bad) but he's an old man who need's to let people do there job.

He doesn't understand that. I think he's lossing it a bit too.

We only go every other day ( i wait in the reception area ), as it's difficult for them to find things to chat about for an hr daily!. Her Mum is happy with that.
Yes, 94 1/2 a great age, & she still smokes about 15 fags daily ( not in Hosp! ), & never suffered from a bad chest in her life!!.
She has never drank alcohol, so make of that what you want!. I've got no chance of reaching that age, & to be honest wouldn't want to!.

Not that we'd ever know, but you'd presume new Covid cases would be rife amongst Ukrainian's & the Russian military force's?. As they are in such close proximity with many others, in shelters, trains, army vehicles etc?.

Interestingly our older daughter (37) chose to have her second child at home because of covid restriction for visitors in hospitals. In Spain that would have meant her partner taking a PCR test and not being admitted to see her until 3 hours after a negative result.Don't believe any other visitors were allowed in afterwards either.Fortunately the home birth went well with 2 mid-wives in attendance.(Perhaps just as well that our daughter and her partner live only a few minutes drive from a major Barna hospital and had made provisions to drive there if necessary).
