As I said above immigration is what this is resulted from.

If they dont stop free movement then Brexit has failed to do what it promised, they have already backtracked from the £350m going to the NHS. Farage to be fair never said that but he wont accept free movement.

Throughout I was looking to 'leave' purely because of immigration but there was too much else against leaving that put me off, but the killer blow was when they asked Boris etc what numbers immigration would reduce to and they had no answer. That made me wonder immediately if they were actually going to be able to reduce it, without that I didnt see the value in the risk.

Farage might not have verbally said that, but he was happy for it to be splashed across buses and billboards. We shouldn't let him off the hook about this, or about the immigration/free movement issue (as you say). Many people voted because they wanted EU contributions to be put back into the NHS, and they wanted immigration to be significantly reduced. The leave campaign is letting those voters down and it appears, anecdotally, that leave voters are regretting this outcome.

Personally I'd like to see the Electoral Commission to be given some teeth so that politicians and campaigns are held to account when they make claims. Why shouldn't a second referendum be held if the leave campaign has been shown now to be based on lies? Or isn't this also what a second chamber (the Lords) should in theory be protecting the people from?

I very much doubt there would be a second referendum, but if there is I'd like the voting age reduced to 16 and anyone over the age of 75 not allowed to vote. **** you Keith's blind mum, you're not going to live with the fallout.

Behave MK, the right to vote is everyone's democratic right, above 75 included. Reduce the age to 16 by all means, but make voting compulsory for the cherubs.

Why not go the whole hog?...anyone who doesn't agree with you doesn't get a say.

Because people voted "out" on the basis of lies which will never be met. People voted out because they really didn't understand the consequences or even expected to win. People didn't even bother to vote at all.

I didn't. I couldn't reconcile the ******** being spouted by both official campaigns and so in the end I voted Leave based on the reasons set out by Left Leave and SLP.

My sis in law voted out on the lie that the NHS would get £350M a week. She's been in floods of tears this weekend as it's split the family, with my stepson and her own daughter castigating her. She bitterly regrets the vote and would swap it if she could. I'm sure she's far from the only one.

Are you happy with your decision to vote leave?

Why would I not be? The first objective was to win the referendum and reject the EU - that's happened. Now the job of rebuilding a more left-leaning society to take us forward, which I believe will happen.

Really? My sister and her boyfriend (NZ so wtf?), my parents, my in-laws, my sister-in-law and her husband, and my wife, all voted leave. I voted remain. We're all still talking, and if it all goes wrong I won't say I told you so.

Yep. My wife had to get involved and tell the kids to leave it be. Quite a sad sight. My sis-in laws daughter has a number of Polish mates, so I think she's worried that they'll be sent back home.

Me and my missus voted differently and we're getting on OK so far...

Only people over 75 did this ?, which to take you back to your earlier post is those that you want banned from voting.

I voted out, but never on the premise of 350 million going to the NHS or immigration.

My overall view remains the same that long term we are better off outside the EU.

words of wisdom from Johnson this morning..........

It's clear now that 'Project Fear' is over, there's not going to be an emergency budget. "People's pensions are safe, the pound is stable, the markets are stable, I think that is all very good news."

His comments came as RBS and Barclays shares were briefly suspended at 9.28am due to market volatility triggering a stop.

They resumed trading after a couple of minutes. However, by just before 10am, RBS was down 14% and Barclays by 10%.
:: Pound Suffers Fresh Losses Over Brexit Fears
The pound fell further overnight as markets opened in Asia, while top economists at investment bank Goldman Sachs predicted Brexit would push Britain into recession early next year.

and the pound is still sliding.

You and I both, and millions of others no doubt. We're not all a bunch of ****tards who thought that the NHS would be 350 million better off today, and that all foreigners would be on the first ferry out of Dover on Friday.

Sadly a great deal of Outers did. Racial harrassment is on the rise, I've already mentioned my family circumstances.
