Attention folks. I think we may have hit peak Barna

She's very street wise and didn't have any problems when she was in Rio (in fact she gave advice to one of her cousins who's over there atm on the do's and don'ts,so I reckon she'll be OK.

I've seen how she conducts herself in BA so I know she'll be all right.

(Just to give you an idea of how clued up she is, a week ago she met Ada Colau -Barcelona's new progressive,left-wing Mayoress -at a party and got an email address from her assistant.A week later -yesterday- she was offered an internship to start with a local NGO,when she finishes her studies, next year).

Spoke too soon.

The thing that bothered me throughout the whole campaign was that neither side had a Plan A or Plan B, and they still don't. We might get down to leaving by October says Dave, but it seems the EU wants us out a lot quicker than that. But that's not a problem, Johnny Foreigner isn't going to tell us what to do, we've left the EU. We've taken back control according to Boris and Nigel, but control of what exactly? Immigration? - Maybe, but only of any European folk coming in. NHS can have another £350 m a week - I'll believe it when I see it; Schools and Doctors Surgeries? I will wait and see if things get better. So what have we managed to achieve as a result of this vote? - Only time will tell.

Don't get me wrong, the nation has voted and that is an example of democracy working at it's best. But the fall-out from the result will run and run, and some of it won't be very comfortable for any of us. By the way, our credit rating now from Poors is negative. That's a good start.

Exchange Cameron for Johnson?..........................that's what it was all about, wasn't it??? :winking:

You may well be right Yogi, it certainly looks as if it was from Boris's perspective. He took a huge risk breaking ranks, but so far he is still on course to be a Tory leadership candidate. Boris and Trump, a dream ticket eh? God help us if that happened.

As expected there were lots of lefties spitting their dummies out on social media yesterday and trying to shame anyone who voted leave as a stupid uneducated bigot. When will they learn?

Democracy has spoken. We won't know for years whether this was the right decision, but I believe we should be confident and have faith in our great country. I can understand why some people are worried, this was always a referendum that was going to leave half the country unhappy. But this is an opportunity to create a more prosperous Britain and open ourselves up to the rest of the world. Germany, Canada and the US have already said they want a trade deal with us. The world is not going to end.

For those rather naive Brexit supporters who believe that the UK is more important to Europe than Europe is to the UK............think again. The EU has bigger fish to fry than concerns about their trade balance with the UK.

Why are you so scared of a few baseless threats from the corrupt committee.

Besides you are in Europe so you have the best of both worlds. You will be able to get rich with everyone else whilst laughing at us Brits when we end up living in caves.

Re-reading the above article, it is really a frightening eye opener into the pandora's box the referendum result has opened.

“Unwinding British membership is bound to be a miserable business anyway. It is not in the EU’s interests to make it seem simple,”

"EU governments will warn that Britain must decide rapidly whether it wants to leave completely or whether it wants to remain part of the European single market." Don't know what the Brexit view is on this..............do they know???

"The EU governments fear that a new British government would try to delay and muddle the exit issue in the hope of winning favourable trade access to the single market without paying into the Brussels budget or allowing free movement of European citizens. "

This, if true, is quite interesting.

"Chancellor Merkel originally suggested a softer approach to avoid an ugly confrontatioin with Britain. She is now said to have come around to the French viewpoint."

"Removing Britain from EU laws would take the official two year “secession” period, he said. If the UK decides to leave both the EU and the single market, it would be “much more difficult” to negotiate what happens next, the former Polish Prime Minister said. That would take at least a further five years “without any guarantee of a success”.

In any case, several European governments believe that their own and the EU’s interests may lie in ensuring a failure."

What a bloody mess we have got ourselves and Europe into. Bravo!!!

If you read the article you'll see it isn't just "a few baseless threats from corrupt committees." If Thursday's decision JUST effected the UK I would wish you well on your little island.............sadly that is not the case.

Will be the best place to be when the EU collapses. Brexit has just speeded up the process and we will be very glad we did it in 5 years.

Got our letter this morning and we have to report to a camp outside Limoges for proccessing and then deporting, thanks alot all you outters and kippers,i wonder if barna will put us up.

Let's approach this from another direction. I give you rather more intelligence than to believe some of your Brexit friends who, seeing the markets and pound dip violently and then partially recover, believe that is it........ now we can get back to our lives as normal............Brexit didn't effect us that much.
Can we agree on the fact that Thursday's vote has pushed Europe and the UK into at least two, five or seven years (take your choice) of uncertainty and destabilisation. Is that honestly good for business?
Let's also say that you get your wish and the EU collapses (and I can't see any sane person wishing for that). Yet if it did happen, that would be like detonating a nuclear weapon on the continent..........we would ALL suffer the fall out ...... yes, even you, on your little island.

That's not my wish, its just a fact. You will have to blame the people you support in Brussels, they have ruined their own dream not us Brexit voters. Instead of shooting the messenger, if I were you I would make a plan for the inevitable end of the EU. It will only take one more country and that's it. If it was such a good business it would survive, but the very fact its so rotten to the core with corruption and incompetence means it is doomed.

By the way 17 million people don't take to kindly to people who don't live in Britain telling them what to do. The Obama visit backfired.

Time for you to except the result. The people of Britain have spoken. Best you Europeans sit up smartly and pay attention :winking:

and If I were you I'd get my nuclear bunker built.........................if you haven't already done so.
