Great stuff from Essex, I thought they would be up against it before the game with so many players missing. After losing Bopara so early I thought we would lose. But great knocks by Pettini & MtS, and a nice cameo by Foster and we are at the finals day, brilliant. Hopefully RtD will be fit and Scott Styris will be back by then. Plus of course whoever our mystery overseas signing may be.

I assume it can't be anyone who has already played for another club in this seasons comp, so how about Warnie ????

Anyway fantastic result last night, and those that were hoping to do cricket - football - cricket may be in luck, as I can see our game being 1st on, as Notts and Somerset are further away than us, so it will mean they don't have to travel at the crack of dawn. Good draw for us as well, given the choice I think we'd all have plumped for Hampshire....

I can't see it being Warne given his Hampshire credentials. It's possible it may be Yusuf Pathan who we agreed terms with pre season but the Indian Board refused him permission to play. It's also possible that Pakistan may release Danish to play, although I'm not sure if finals day coincides with the test series or not, which will obviously rule out Cook.

If we are first up at 11 am then Cricket - Aldershot - and the final is doable.
