At this rate, they'll knock it off in 15 overs - maybe a little over an hour's cricket. Current COP is in 40 minutes' time. What are the rules about the extra half hour?

Then the commentator's an arse. If he thinks we're safe from the drop, he's gravely mistaken. We need the win just as much as they do. Unfortunately, Yorks are really going for it. They've just creamed 11 off Carter this over...

In fact, to be fair to the commentator, he said that it was worth making the declaration and giving us a chance to win the match, even in the end, if we lost it.........it wouldn't be that important.

Ravi looks set to be named in the Test squad for the Pakistan test match on Thursday. Does anyone know if Cook and Ravi will be allowed to play on Tuesday evening for Essex in the 20/20 QF vs Lancashire if/when they are announced as part of the squad tomorrow morning?!

Cook has been barred from playing on Tuesday, but as Ravi didn't make the squad he can play.
All 4 Quarter-Finals will be shown on Sky.

Northants 192-8 with 7 balls to go. Good recovery considering they were 123-2. All bowlers have taken a wicket and its not that strong a side as the batting looks a little weak! Im pretty sure Wheater is playing as a batsman only, despite being our WK back up!

I'd say we are firmly on course for a win. With 10 overs left, we need 21 runs with 9 wickets left. Ravi on 78 (from 79) * and was able assisted from former skipper Pettini who got 58 from 61 balls. Flower in at 3 to keep things ticking over as we chase the 199 set!
