I'd rather watch Campbell style football over the current tripe we are being served up.

For the past few years under kev we've improved year upon year but not this year. Yes you can blame the small pre-season (bare in mind we had 1 pre-season game last term and a 10 point deduction so that's no excuse really)

Yes we lost two big players in our team but to take till January to replace is criminal especially with no transfer window. Bonne and co coming in feels like panic buys in a phil Brown esq way in which we've jumped at them as they are somewhat of a name

Genuinely don’t think it’s even an experienced manager we need just a front footed one that’s willing to be tactically flexible . I don’t care if they’ve never managed a game or if they’ve got 300 games under their belt

Mark Molesley?
Molesley couldn’t be described as ‘front footed’ surely? He was ultra negative, everyone behind the ball, try to nick a 1-0. Doesn’t meet the criteria the previous poster mentioned, so I’m unsure why you brought him up?

Kev’s getting a lot of stick, as he did as a player (me included), and he came back fighting then. The lack of attacking threat is bemusing and it’s not good to watch at all really and I’m not sure how to rectify it. Don’t love 3 at the back. I think Kev will get it right, really do but he needs to find a way of getting us moving the ball faster.

I'm no fan of Molesley, he was a dreadful appointment, but he was given a squad full of journeymen, has-beens and kids. Nicking a 1-0 was pretty much his only option.

Agreed, but that wasn’t really my point. Molesley was mentioned after a poster wished for a ‘front footed’ manager, I still can’t understand why he was even mentioned in this thread. I assume it was to make a ‘be careful what you wish for’ point… but it wasn’t what the original poster wished for!

I just said to dad that it's such a weird feeling at the moment being a fan. From the outside, it must sound so weird knowing that fans are wanting a manager sacked when the team are 5 unbeaten.

I think we are still in transition but we do have a solid foundation to build from. However, Kev does need to let go of his loyalty a little with certain players. If players are underperforming, they need to be dropped for others. Sentiment is lovely but it doesn't win you games and it also doesn't make you keep your job.

I am sick and tired of 5-3-2 at home, I like to see 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 as it’s suit our players strength, we would score more goals in that formation.

Who plays wide right in a midfield 4? I really hope your solution isn’t Gus…

Who plays as the two at centre back in either of those formations? I don’t think any combination of our centre backs are strong enough to play as a two.

Having a front three is more “suitable” than a midfielder four that’s for sure.

Some would argue that’s all he could he do with the absolute shower of a squad he inherited.

I'd love for Kev to turn things around but it's just looking less and less likely.

It's the same mistakes and over and over again.
Until KM becomes willing to use different formations we will always be as we are. Last season we had a squad scrapping for their lives and they got better and better. Everyone seems to have gone off the boil and quite truthfully I don't think the goalkeeper on Saturday had a save to make. Our buildup play is extremely slow and lethargic, everyone seems to be scared to have a shot and we certainly seem to go sideways and backwards an awful lot. Compare that to Barnet who move the ball quickly and look to get forward quickly. The best game of the season by a country Mile was the defeat by Charlton when KM was forced to put three forwards on and effectively go 433. Such a shame he won't ever try that in the league or even 442 which I think country to some peoples opinions, which suit us far better.

A right sided midfielder, can none of our midfielders play there? can wood play there..
The new lad and Taylor would be ok as a centre 2 ..

Harry Taylor is not a central defender, in a back 2. He is absolutely incredible defending in a 1v1, but he and Crowther both get bullied by physical strikers
