Count me out. Long live king kev and princesses curry and Bentley
I get that the majority want him gone but we are happy to publish decent articles and points from anyone and 26.8% of poll respondents is a decent chunk. There will have been plenty of people on this thread and I hope one person sees these messages and decides to write something for us.

I've long since adjusted my view on this season. My personal view is I'll take a season of mid table mediocrity on the basis we finally get to prepare for the next season properly, with early signings, and hopefully a realisation from COSU that the playing budget needs rethinking if we seriously want a proper go at promotion. If after a dozen or so games we're still not making progress on the pitch, thats when I'd be thinking some tough decisions will need taking. I think Kev has enough goodwill in the tank to be given a free run this season, plus considering what he's had to deal with (losing out on signings pre-season, losing top players etc). But we do need progress from the start next season.

Waste of time thread, it ain't going to happen.....unless 'maybe' we're relegated come the end of the season,,,,,,,,and that ain't going to happen either. The management team have recently signed new contracts. Our New owner is Justin, not 'Ron' Rees..The priorities are, improving Roots Hall and bringing in new players. If you believe for a minute that the consortium are going to dish out thousands in compensation payements to change management teams, I'm afraid that you're living on another planet!

This is the crux of the entire thread really.

For his perceived shortcomings, Kev still playing with one hand behind his back this season and needs a genuine "normal" pre-season chance to show what he can do.

And for the serious nay-sayers, he's done what lot have clamoured for this season, namely;
  • Signing experienced FL players
  • Changed formation
  • Tried a different keeper
I'm very much indifferent to Maher at the moment (hence my On The Fence vote), but really think would be incredibly harsh to sack him before he's had a fair chance.

That doesn't sound like a sit on the fence vote!

Kev has been manager for years now......Still hasn't had the 'luxury' of a normal season.
Embargoes, non payment, players striking, late takeover, points deduction. One of the Main reason we still have a club. Let's give the bloke just one normal pre season where he can truly strengthen the squad.

The last three games have seen a more forward playing style. Not complete but the adjustments may take a little while to bed in. I said Kev must go because he wouldn't change but, finally, he has shifted his position enough to warrant giving him more time. He needs to drop the excuses about the embargoes, players leaving, injuries etc and accept the team was underperforming with the possession football, in areas of no consequence, and now things look brighter. That's with no new signings and could have been implemented long ago.

Well done to him and the team for the result against Halifax. These players are capable of more, and better than a lot of their critics give them credit for. UTB

I'm gonna use the "IF" button.
If we had 11 men on the pitch at home to Yeovil and away to Woking, it looked likely that both games wouldve seen us pick up 6 points.
We'd be in the playoffs.

Long way to go yet. Three very important players in Bridge, Miley and Gus arent firing on all cylinders at the moment. Crowther finally scores from a corner and Pepple looks a real threat.
I'm really looking forward to putting Hartlepool to the sword.

I never thought KM would change his mindset, but I'm really pleased to see the last few games he can. I was told that these are bargin basement players, and they couldn't perform, yet they looked really comfortable beating Halifax, so they can!
We don't care who's wrong or right, we just want to win, and get out of this league.
With all this change in the air, maybe I won't get ear ole when i get in,from the women who must be obeyed.... silly me, that'll never change!
