Thanks Kev - but is a new manager needed?

Wanting to play in a particular way is one thing, having the players to do it is another. The skill of the manager should be to match the style with the players available, to be adaptable. As yet, there’s not too much evidence of that from Kev. I’d love to see flowing, attacking football, but route one with a high press might be more suited to the squad we’ve got?
Err yeah. You quoted me and then said exactly the same thing but with fewer words. So yes I agree.

Completely off topic, but I have just stumbled across an article within the Football Supporters Association Website. Written by Liam and posted 26th February. Have absolutely no idea how to do it, but could someone locate the article for people to read on here.

A reminder of where we were 12 months ago.

I given it it's own thread, it deserves it.

Following the timely reminder from @Liam AAS on @RHB ‘s thread today, is there anyone out there mad enough or with such a short memory / lack of loyalty to still think this thread topic worthy of debate?

Given everything, all at the club have earned our unstinting support for this whole season come what may IMO (barring a serious flirt with relegation to be fair).

Come back to this debate next season if you must. This season, thank your lucky stars for our management team.

Personally they have my support for longer than just this season, but at least next season some of us won’t feel like dirty moral wastelands just for having this debate.

Last season was about the management team and the miracle's that they pulled off on the the pitch. Working with the squad under the constraints influenced by Mr Martin.
This season it's been about COSU and the influence and impact that they have had. After all if it wasn't for them KM wouldn't have a squad to work with.
I'm not calling for for KM to go I'm just expecting some rose coloured glasses to either be removed from some people or for them to be given a good clean.

Got to keep it going for “freedom of speech”.

Over the last 10 games we are 2nd in the form table. Only Barnet have been better than us during that period.

Now I realise there are still some on here who would still sack Kev at this stage. But the reality is COSU are not going to embarrass themselves this far into the season and bin the 3 amigos. Even before the extended summer delay, this season was always about foundations. Not wild spending to appease our National League is beneath me fans.....Especially the ones who will come up with yet another excuse not to go even if we were top of the league.

Unlike FGR, Barnet, York and Oldham etc our budget has not been high risk must make it this season. From now on we have free hit until the end of the season. Even in the summer we are the club that has more room for improvement than the other so called 'BIg Boys'

For anyone, including COSU who don't feel Kev is the man going forward. Then that is a discussion for May not going into March. Not whilst on our best form of the season so far. Time for everyone to remember what the core role of fan really is..... To get behind your team at all cost.

We all get the sentiment but is there such a need to be so condescending, especially from such an experienced poster?

This is precisely the attitude that elicits the sort of retaliatory response that escalates into personal insults.

The rest of the Internet is riddled with this provocative discourse. Please for the love of god can SZ be free of it for just a little longer?

How was any of that condescending.
The real problem is people think there over inflated self centred opinion is all that matters. For example...the entertain me crowd or the biggest laugh lately was someone saying pep was now out of touch...with no hint of irony. There are a few posters who jumped on the back of kev the minute there was an opportunity, this transfers over to now chanting against the team at at games, maidenhead away and then when we went one nil down to Rochdale...what the actual f##$.
It's the fickle, disloyal treacherous attitude I can't stomach. And people should be told how fickle and treacherous they are.
Hope that's not too harsh for you poppet

It’s not condescending. Like many on here I have to put up with the ‘happy clappers’ and rose tinted specs nonsense from people who can’t wait to put the boot into Kev after a poor result. Some of them don’t appear at all if we win. Us happy clappers are allowed a right of reply which is every bit as direct as the abuse we got in the first place, while not being so insulting.

Preach brother

When...we can actually judge Kev on football alone, have at it. But given the ridiculous situation the club started in this season its still not been a level playing field for kev.
IF next season starts pear shaped, THEN we can truly judge the football on its merits.

OK. Maybe it is the time to draw a line under it for this season. He's not going anywhere, we all know that. I'm kev out but even I can see he will be here at the beginning of next season. So the thread has become a bit pointless. We will (though I hope not) probably have to start a new one some time next year.

Not really. Statistics and general wisdom say it takes a manager 2-3 transfer windows to really build their squad. We might not have transfer windows, but we're still aligned to them.

What is really needed is patience, but most people don't have that.

The grass isnt always greener on the other side .Ok so at the end of the season we get rid of kevin and co .So who is going to take there place .And god forbid a new man and his team fair worse then what we have allready .The way i see things is the three amigos have had two seasons with an embargo no pre season no help from the idiot that did rule .Ok so the concortium has come in .But that was quite a way into this season .They go hit with an embargo when they took over . So hows about we will have a clean slate A full pre season ..Aso we can bring players in instead of playing catch up .So lets see how the amigos do with there hand free .If the results are still poor Then THE board must think again .

To call out those questioning our manager's approach with a lack of loyalty and / or short memory, and then suggesting can only debate this next season is condescending.

The real problem is people think there over inflated self centred opinion is all that matters.

Preach brother! No one is the moral arbiter in these discussions.

Charming. There we have it.Look, we all get your viewpoint but language like this just incites others to respond in kind.

You'd expect better from experienced posters and it's a shame.

Let's leave it at that because this is going wildly off topic.

If people take criticising Maher so personally why not create a Maher in thread 😙
