Not in the know, but reading between the lines of someone on Twitter who said "our first signing could be a Smart piece of business" (and capitalised "Smart").

....either that or we've sold the Soccerdome to Billy Smart's Circus!

Sure him and Mo Sagaf had a little exchange around seeing each other soon, on Twitter many months ago. Can’t remember the exact words.

Were rumours at the time that we were after Sagaf.

I was actually trying to look back a few days ago to see if I could find it but couldn't - wondering if it is this guy.

No that was Tom Whelan who returned to Chesterfield in January

I think that was Tom Whelan, who has since left Eastleigh for Chesterfield. Looks a good player.
