No chance he scores 25 with us.
It’s possible though.
We haven’t seen enough of this new look team to say whether Dalby could or couldn’t score a hatful this year, but one thing is for sure, he’d get way more chances this year.
Time will tell I guess.
Although if Wrexham really, really want him - they will get him - and we’ll never know what he could of produced this season.

In reality that sounds great. Comes down to his ambition. Might go to Wrexham and do well, they play two up front but can’t see him getting in ahead of Mullin, Palmer or Lee. But if he can go there on a 2/3 year contract and treble his wages he may well be happy to be a bit part player. At his age it’s a very lucrative offer and I’m certain if the money is right for us and him then the deal will happen. But it must only be allowed if replacements can be found.
also with the bizarre rumour of Murphy to vale appearing yesterday we would defo need reinforcements and fast
Why would Dalby consider himself to be a bit part player? He will be going there to be first choice, maybe not straight away, but if you don't back yourself then what's the point.

Rumours circling that Ollie Palmer may be off, so this may be one of the reasons why the urgency now from Wrexham.

Off where?

Who would both want him and can compete with Wrexham’s wages?

Sheffield United manager has said Lopata has had an operation on his cartilage and is out for the foreseeable but hopefully not before the window shuts as they wanna send him out on loan

Another young player who was expected to feature in the summer but we have not seen in the picture is Polish defender Kacper Lopata. The 20-year-old spent a large chunk of last season on loan at Southend but was recalled towards the end when United's defensive cover became stretched.

He could well go out on loan again if he can return to fitness in time following an operation.

Heckingbottom added: "He's just had an operation, he needed his cartilage doing, so for the foreseeable he's going to be ruled out."

"Hopefully, not past the window. Again another one who has had people wanting to take him, but first and foremost we need to get him fit."

If Lopata is injured for the rest of the transfer window and no one wants to sign him injured, potentially he could come to us even if it's till Jan! Could massively work in our favour!

Lopata had an op around 2 weeks ago and is expected to be out for between 6-8 weeks. I assumed it was common knowledge. So even if we do get a deal done (very unlikely) he won’t play until mid sept at earliest

That is quite weird. Someone has made a mistake! Ooops.

Surely the Łopata "saga" should act as a "warning" to Sam Dalby about what can happen when you go to a club where there is significant competition for places.

I know people will say "you have to believe in yourself" etcetera but, for me, it's much better to be playing than sitting on a bench looking at your bank balance on your mobile phone.

Each to their own.
