Surely that must have been Roy KeaneAnd...for all his physical presence on the pitch, probably one of nicest guys in football

We were in league one though.Goodship scored 39 goals at the same level. *runs and hides*
Wish my memory was as good as yoursWe were in league one though.
True and there are several more factors as well, but that line was a joke than a serious comment. We were in league one though.
I'm crying too. For what it's worth I think this fella is much more what we need now and to be fair to Goodship it was a huuuge jump and he was playing in a god awful team.Cheers son’s crying. Nice one.
It seems harsh to scapegoat Goodship for his failure to score goals while playing in an often toxic environment for a team that did not create many chances. From the clips I've seen he does seem a power house but also has a decent touch and awareness for link up play, the Akinfenwa comparison seems apt.
The problem with Goodship was that he had nice technique but not a lot else, and seemed to lack that killer, winning instinct. It's early days but Wreh seems like the sort who will be able to battle man to man and come out on top, and that should put him on a far better footing to translate his form from the same division into this one.
In many ways I'm much happier picking up Wreh on the cheap than splashing six figures on Kelly. Sure the latter is *likely* going to perform better, but we need to live within our means.
Very true. Arguably the type of striker we needed more than Kelly?I'm crying too. For what it's worth I think this fella is much more what we need now and to be fair to Goodship it was a huuuge jump and he was playing in a god awful team.
Wreh has been looked at a lot by the coaching team and if they think he's good enough..well I'll take that.
We need someone who can hold their own physically and knows where the goal is. Take a bit of pressure off of Dalby so he can do what he does best.
We still need one more up top though, being a bit of a greedy bugger.
Definitely can’t compare as Wreh comes into a progressive team playing on the front footIt seems harsh to scapegoat Goodship for his failure to score goals while playing in an often toxic environment for a team that did not create many chances.
He might well have been not much good but he never really had a chance.
10 years and a promise to nominate him for the Nobel Prize for Football, IMOWhat do we reckon, 1 year with a 1 year option?
If I remember correctly it was only Brown that used to offer those types of deals to the thirty-somethings10 years and a promise to nominate him for the Nobel Prize for Football, IMO
Much better. No faffing about or dramas. Got him in, signed. Done. Good work SUFC.
