It's disappointing to lose out on targets like this but there'll be another target on the fabled whiteboard.
I understand Maidenhead's insistence on a large upfront fee; as much as we need a prolific striker, they'll need to replace him, and as we have found out, such strikers are expensive. They need that upfront fee.

That how he got the Spurs move, even others clubs like Arsenal/West Ham/Villa would willing to double what Spurs would offer to pay up front, he could go an talk to them, but refused to as he made it clear to Middleborough, Spurs is for him. We've also been leaking too many at the other end. Especially from set-pieces.

I am positive that we would offer at least the same for Lopata, most probably more, and there’s clearly a chance it could happen.

Do Sheffield United trust us more than Maidenhead?…….. I hope so given Currie’s links to Sheff U.

Goals this year will be a little easier to come by given the players we now have. Yes another number 9 would be the icing on the cake but we are clearly more potent now than we was at the end of last season.
