Am I right in thinking we have signed Fonguck but not registered him because of the you know what?

If we have signed him, then why wouldn't we announce it?

It didn't stop us a couple of seasons ago with Akinola & Hart, plus we would have a few weeks before the season starts to sort out registration and anything prevent the registration.

The negativity on here now is bad. ITK posters suggesting they won’t post if people question them, others suggesting transfer talk is pointless whilst the finance position is what it is (whatever that may be). Thought this was supposed to be a fun thread for rumours and a little inside knowledge?

As my previous posts suggest, I'm equally as concerned about the lack of movement regarding not signing another striker yet but do we really need to start bringing embargoes into this?! It was tiresome enough last time when we took a little while to sign the three new players. Low and behold, we signed them. Bringing up that topic helps absolutely no one! Please can we refrain from talking about it unless the poster in question has concrete evidence. Even then, there are dedicated threads to finances, let's try and keep it there.

The evidence is all the other times this has happened over the last few years. Rumours have usually been proved correct, don’t forget that. It’s the very reason why we are a non league team right now. The “worst conclusion” has usually described the actual state of affairs. Not sure if we are under one right now but you really can’t blame supporters from fearing the worst once they hear about people being paid late. Don’t get me wrong I really really want to be super optimistic, especially as so many positive changes have been made. But the big problem — Ron’s cash flow issue — will not disappear just because we want it to.

We are owned by owner who is unfit to run a professional football club! These issues were always going to arise. The only positive I can see is we have done the majority of our transfer business already.

Can anyone on hear say for sure that we are under any kind of transfer problems .Just because players have not been signed over the last few couple of weeks .At this present time our squd is stronger that it was last season .And we have a couple of strikers who may or not be brought in .I would rather wait for the outcome before aug the 6th .Rather than read gossip on hear .Anew training ground is under way at the cost of 2 millon .So there must be money out there somewhere .

As soon as you start feeling a good vibe about the new season the **** hits the fan again. This club ffs.

Do what I do know there is **** all good about the club I love until ron Martin leaves us for good that way you can never be disappointed

The money for the training facilities and housing and stadium etc is completely different from the cash flow of the club.

I'm grateful for that. Give the money to Ron and he would likely do a Reggie Perrin and dissappear from southend beach

You need to be a little bit careful with that £2m , Tommy . It will almost certainly have been put up by some third party , probably homes related , and is specific to the training ground . There won't be any more coming from that source for the clubs general use.
