Not for me,we have had two many signing's like this legs have gone,no sell on value,would rather sign players like we are young and hungry.Hope we don't panic with a striker.should stick to the plan.

Did I miss the day when the club were told they have to fold? Jeez, what is going on?!

This was such a positive place to be a few weeks ago. We have a great management team, have recruited some really good players, have won 2 and drawn 1 of the 3 preseason games, started building work on the new training facilities and still have an amazing fan base in tact. Where on earth has all this negativity come from? Yes, we would all like to recruit new players on a weekly basis, be in the loop regarding all matters about Southend United and have a financially stable club. However, that isn't going to happen, and to my knowledge, never has. We know what we are getting when we support Southend but let's please try and stay with the positives. There are many to focus on.

Sadly there are some on a dayly misson to batter the club regardless of any good news .But i doubt they are not alone there mush other clubs out there who have the club batters no matter what they do .

For what it's worth, I don't think it was. I believe the sanction, as we'll call it, has come in subsequently.

Obviously i dont know who we have missed out on other than maybe Moussa. However, im delighted with the business done so far and if we have to wait a few more weeks, maybe a month or two to get other targets over the line. Can anyone complain about the quality of Miley, Lomas, Scott-Morriss, Mooney and Taylor. Yes we need a few more but it takes time. Last season we signed players prior to the season started and PB was giving it large about the quality and experience of the squad, in reality he got it very wrong. Other than the likes of Arnold, Bridge and Dalby the others were all flops.

I would be interested to know how many signings the other teams in the NL have made an of those how many we would have liked. I think Aldershot made 8 signings in one day or something, doesnt mean they are going to rip the league up. Also Oldham have made a number of signings including Chris Porter who i believe is around 38/39. We need to trust the process. if we can get another striker (maybe Kelly), CB and Midfielder (maybe Fongkup) then great. If we need to wait so beit. For what its worth both Trailist A and B (Wreh/Akanbi) although look raw, one or the other maybe would be worth a punt on a year contract etc

Someone used to say how many signing other clubs had completed when we was football league club but that went quiet after we slipped into non league

Would also like that to be the case but I wouldn’t hold your breath. I really rate Stan for all he has done but I think he has backed away from giving updates on here recently for whatever reason. Maybe it’s for the best!

I just wish some of peoples on here, just give it a rest about Embargo & staffs not getting paid, unless they have solid proof. I am looking at the positive, we getting players we needed, they having an good pre season, plus first step of new stadium already started (getting our new training ground ready for October).
