I hope the competition Dalby will have pushes him to excel, especially if there is only 1 striker position up for grabs, since last season we often played with both Dalby and Cardwell together when fit

I don't think there is any chance we will be playing 1 striker - we will I suspect persist with a front three and Cardwell, Dalby, Murphy Powell, Mooney and Bridge will be pretty interchangeable I think. If were to go truly 1 up top then yes you could start only one of Cardwell, Dalby, Murphy.

Would still need some more goals in the team in my opinion. A lot of very tight victories last season whereas the teams at the top were frequently putting 3 or 4 past opponents. If we could find that elusive marquee striker I think we will be in a very good place.

Ideally, need another striker imo ... Murphy doesn't play full seasons (Not a dig, just the facts) Cardwell is likely to be out for the first few months (Complete assumption on his injury mind you)
We have signed Mooney but also lost Dennis and we were very goal-shy last season compared to the rest of the league (only 3 teams in the league scored less)

Some teams make a point of not announcing any signings until July 1. Such as Boreham Wood and Torquay. So I expect tomorrow there will be a raft of announcements.

I would hazard a guess that they are not at all worried. Then again, I highly doubt they are used to their own club plumetting to the depths we have, been lied to constantly. Been dragged through the courts, not paid their own players or faced embargoes.

Are our fans wrong not to put two and two together and make ten.

Definitely need a striker. Cardwell struggles to stay fit, not sure we should be relying on him at all

Some talk earlier in the summer of Sam Dalby having offers from some league clubs. Did that all disappear do we know?

Wonder if we ever looked at Maziar Khouyar at York. 24 year old central midfielder and would know Noor quite well as he’s a fellow Afghan international. Seems to be making good progress at York and is quite highly rated.

May have missed out though as he was available this summer but signed a one year extension with York last week following their promotion to the NL.

All the speculation about who we may sign is so refreshing compared to last year when we had the long drawn out saga of we will or we will not sign Ricky Holmes. We seem to have a proper strategy in place!

Interesting data there thanks. Recruitment by all clubs is largely regional and mostly a merry go round of NL players with just a couple of clubs following our last summer strategy of recruitment with experience from higher up the pyramid (good luck with that).
