Thanks boy wonder. Don’t blame you for not posting if that’s what you do, I like the updates personally but seems harsh you get a ticking off for defending yourself when those that continually snipe do not.

Please keep posting
See post #3125 repeated below.

What some of the comments on here have proven is that all opinions on the thread are welcome but playing the poster not the post is just plain rude and if you've done that you know who you are. So before you launch into a personal attack just have a think before you post.

I think, defensively, we are done unless the option to sign Lopata or Gubbins pops up. That’s assuming Clifford signs, if not, we’ll need a left wing back, or a left sided centre half, with Ralph switching to wing back.

Midfield, I think we need another couple in there personally.

Forwards, I’d like another one.

So, I’d suggest 3 more incomings, potentially a fourth if Lopata or Gubbins become available.

From there, I think loans will be used to plug gaps that crop up through injury/loss of form/players moving on.

Yes I was thinking along those lines. Clifford would be an interesting one, as he could push on again, , albeit unlucky with injuries last year.

I mention this because if you exclude Clifford we now have 18, having gained 5 and shredded 16. If Cardwell and Murphy dont make the start ,as seems a real possibility, we are down to just 16, including dear Demi, which suggests potential experience for the youngsters to be on the bench, early, if they sign, unless we strengthen

Early on injuries are also not common, so another risk factor, Is this sufficient strength to mount a strong challenge from the outset, Generally teams who start well end up near the top

So I dont think we are quite there yet ,and see good loans ( hopefully ) as a likely, valuable early addition to the current strategy

Omar Mussa is apparently on the move from Weymouth. Would love to get him here. Thought he looked absolute quality.

Mussa was watched a number of times and the feedback on him was very positive.
Indeed. One who has definitely got all the talent but needs to knuckle down and start making the most of it now. Some whispers on social media, even before that VNL Insider bellend latched onto it, that Notts Co might be in pole position to get him but who knows?

I really liked him in that first half. But then I thought he was absolute toilet in the second. Can see us looking at him after his first half performance anyway. Clearly got potential

Looking him up as I hadn't heard of him, says he was on trial at Spurs from Ramsgate until the end of last season. Says Stevenage were likely to make a bid.

A friend of mine who is a scout tipped me off about Ajayi. I subsequently gave Stan a nudge about him. This was back in the middle of January.
I've no idea whether he's someone who we've ever looked at seriously, but he's clearly got some talent.

In respect of the list appearing at the beginning of this thread is being followed by Stan on Twitter (Josh Kelly apparently) sufficient to gain you a place on it?
Also however unlikely the possibility that Sim Ak will rejoin us the fact he is training with us might make him a more realistic option than some who are on, or, have been on the list.
Just a thought!

Some talk earlier in the summer of Sam Dalby having offers from some league clubs. Did that all disappear do we know?

Useful little transfer tracker for the NL courtesy of @D5Football on Twitter.

I'd imagine it will look very different from tomorrow, when teams that have been suspiciously quiet start announcing their signings once contracts are officially up -
