For anyone who understands business or basic economics.

The purchase price, publicised for Southend United is more than the price Charlton has been sold for. With ZERO debt and higher valued assets in a club in a higher league with more fans.

Honestly, it’s time we all get real, and make sure the pressure is not dropped. To all the people that have asked has RM been offered what he put out publicly, no ofcourse he hasn’t, has he turned down offers (I don’t know), has he ignored offers YES!

The offer you said made it very attractive?

We must step up the protests if we want to force RM to sell! It can be done look at how Blackpool fans acted against their previous owner Oyston.

I know many would hate the idea but a large scale protest outside Roots Hall during the Oldham game will attract media attention.

Alternatively, we should look to peacefully disrupt games (Blackpool threw eggs and smoke bombs onto the pitch before a game).

Should we try to reach out to Blackpool or Orient fans to see how they helped achieve their owners to sell?

We've already had sheds full of advice from our Blackpool chums via the Trust and @basilrobbie, a regular on here.

But didn't Ron say £1 for the club and the inter company loans would be written off so we all said that the real cost was therefore £1 plus the rest of the creditors. I'm guessing as Ron (we assume) has cleared these he might be revisiting the £1?

That has not changed. It’s just middle ground. Which if the seller wanted to find he would talk to the buyer?
And while RM has these deadline windows open to him he will continue to try and manoeuvre to obtain his real preferred outcome of retaining control, all we can hope is that he does not obtain investment bites the bullet and sells.

While buyer and seller are ****ing about! The club suffers, the fans suffer the squad suffers and the hard working staff suffer. I want a new owner that wants the best for the club and not what's best for them or their investment! ....Yes maybe I'm in dream land but ****ed off with this bollox now gone on too long. And affected fans and club too much to be played by 'business men' who don't give a ****!

Iv tried my absolute best to be positive through this situation. With a sale looking like it’s nowhere near . Ron not interested in even having conversations with any buyer . We are literally in the same position as we was when he put the club up for sale a few months back . To start this season under an embargo is totally unacceptable. Unfortunately I can’t see Ron ever seeing sense and accepting defeat . ‘ Ron is literally laughing at all of us this fan base is so soft. He is taking us all for mugs . Anna firth doesn’t give a **** whether Ron is chairman or not all she’s done is got the national league to accept us in the league and have Ron extra time. Numbers need to ramp up massively with protests/ boycotts if Ron is to take us seriously. Guy is still having it too easily . Potential buyers please come forward publicly so we can get behind you and out the pressure on him

Where do we stand with any income coming into the club via ticket or player sales etc. Does this help Ron prolong the agony ?
We have 14 players, and until the embargo is cleared on the 22 of August, we'll remain with 14. Ron could pay that bill now and give the club a fighting chance but he won't. Who would you sell?

Surely it will. Just the outlay of wages with a threadbare squad must be so low compared to past years....he loves the transfer embargo. Now people fixing the ground for free....he might even start making a profit if people keep buying tickets. More reason to keep the club.

We can make that 16 but suspect they'll be tempted elsewhere
