I’d pay to see Alison Moyet do a benefit gig!Not that i am aware of, going back past years all sorts of events were held there. We even had a night club.

I think Cyril was talking about the standard of footballExactly, it has been left to go to ruin without any thoughts of how to maximise the grounds potential.
I think the Snake said today, but i would not hold your breath,
Yes please. If they showed the away games for those unable to go I’d go down most matches.Accrington proving what can be done in terms of drawing in punters before and after matches. Worth noting the pub around the corner used to do a £1.25 pint a decade ago so that's some stiff competition to beat!

I am sure she would do one if i asked her, but only if RM is out of the pictureI’d pay to see Alison Moyet do a benefit gig!
they didn't seem to mind disturbing the neighbours when they had the fireworks way back when I were a kidI'd've thought concerts would be a no-go as housing is just far too close. Don't think it's ever hosted one?
If Ron does make a statement I’ll suspect it’ll be 10x less informative than Anna’sBut that didn’t tell me f**k all!
This in blue please.
Sorry I couldn't seewere the out-of-contractors there - Bridge, Ralph etc?
regardless of what you think of her or her motives she has said more in that statement than Ron has for monthsIf Ron does make a statement I’ll suspect it’ll be 10x less informative than Anna’s
Yes, only dub reggaeDoes Roots Hall have planning constraints on hosting non-football events at all?
100%regardless of what you think of her or her motives she has said more in that statement than Ron has for months
There is one major (although not a planning) constraint. Imagine going to any kind of event and being faced with the Roots Hall fungus when you want a wee. It probably makes the toilets at Glastonbury on the last day look civilised.Does Roots Hall have planning constraints on hosting non-football events at all?
It would cost an awful lot more to redevelop roots hall. I don’t think it is viable even for those with deep pockets.Honestly would love a redeveloped Roots Hall. If He-who-shall-not-be-named is serious about selling RH to the new owner it really gives me hope a deal can be done as it gives any prospective owner something tangible other than a club badge and a mountain of debt.

Very very sad to say that if the absolute worst happens, I will support The Chats who got promoted to 2 levels below us. I would also try to support a Southend Phoenix club financially or other ways but not travel that far to watch much in the Essex Senior leagueYep. Chatham Town, 10 minute walk from me. Have an absolutely brilliant sports bar which makes them a really decent whack and is open all week.
Isthmian Prem and showing us how it's done. In fact, the sports bar was built when they were still in Southern Counties East. Step 5.
We have positively and hope in abundance, what we don’t have is time…Where there is life there is hope. I saw a lot of life left in the Southend fans on Saturday.
