Doesn't Anna Firth clearly state that to begin the season the NL require us to have settled all football debts? Couldn't be clearer.
"I am completely satisfied that the National League wish to do everything that they can to ensure the Club is compliant with the League's licensing requirements, and I am very grateful to Mark Ives, the General Manager of the National League, for the amount of time he has already given to trying to help the Club. However, the League requires certain information to be forthcoming and action to be taken. To remain compliant with the League's requirements the Club needs to provide a complete list of football creditors, all players and staff need to be paid and a full safety certificate for Root's Hall must be obtained, before the new season begins. Ron is aware of these requirements and has given Sir James and myself an assurance that he is working on getting this information to the National League in short order".

Can't be clearer than that.

Josh, stay off SZ for an hour or so, it can't be doing you any good - and you're making my head spin.
It’s not good at all for me. Every second I get depressed more and more. Our situation gets worse day by day. Clock is ticking as well. Just want OUR club back. I want to be going to Oldham match knowing “new owners, new start”.

That was only one of their requirements! And rightly so, if you want to be in the club, you have to abide by the rules… less than 3 weeks to get our house in order!

Unless I've been brain washed by Martins rhetoric for the last 20 years, surely moving is the ONLY answer.

If its true, that we making no revenue from RH, then whats the point in staying. Will cost millions to redevlop, if its even possible with houses/flats so close. Will be a logistical nightmare.

Then what IF its developed. I guess the hope is to put a nice suite on the East Stand or something for conferences etc, but its never going to host concerts etc (again, due to proximity of housing).

Is the hope from a poential buyer that they magically turn our fortunes around on the pitch and we eventually become a top Lg1 or Champ club and hence make more money from match day revenue etc, but that also brings increased costs of wages etc.

I've been saying this for ages, but I'm really concerned all people care about is "GET RID OF MARTIN" with no view on whats down the line. Yes, its massively important we survive, YES, getting rid of Ron has to happen 100000% - but then what? What are the intentions going forward of new owners and god forbid, do we find ourself in the same situation in a couple of years.

It’s happened with lots of clubs - begged for new owners, only for it to turn sour with them very quickly.
The wider thinking on some topics is so backwards. Why must the needs of the stadium come as secondary to the needs of owners of apartments that haven’t been built yet, let alone occupied? The stadium should be for SUFC and also an asset that ‘sweats’ for non football events to ensure greater revenue income and ultimately more cost effective as an asset. A stadium that can be used for the community, attracting conferences (and therefore spending in our city) and other sporting, artistic and musical events. If that means noise then so be it, you only purchase an apartment if you are happy with that environment, you don’t buy one then become a NIMBY. It’s like people who buy a house by an existing airport / under the flight path then complain about seeing and hearing planes ..

Does this suggest that we would remain in an embargo if we only have to provide a list of creditors and not settle them (outside of paying staff)?

I think until we pay the HMRC and all football creditors, which includes all outstanding staff salaries, the embargo remains.

That is going to take a seven figure sum for sure. Ron sure as hell won't be paying that.

Staying at a rebuilt Roots Hall would be amazing but why would Kimura do that?
I more see it as a temporary measure while they look for a new site. So yes starting all this procedure again, but maybe with more competent owners.

Or depending what someone like sherrif H can cook up, maybe it is feesible to upgrade enough to accomodate for extra seating and the conferencing facilities that are needed to bring in additional income.

Ff has been pie in the sky a large chunk of my life. It doesnt even excite me anymore tbh.

I wasn't necessarily talking about that... That's come from Anna Firth (not the league) and I meant that the league don't generally publicise things like this or when a club is under an embargo, for instance.

Sorry if it wasn't clear.

To add, to clear all debts he said in his video would take 2.5 million!

The maths is complicated though by the fact that Kimura would be paying the full cost of a new stadium build- so to them the measure is against the £15m not the £38m.
I might be wrong but I think the idea re selling RH is a short term step to owning the new stadium. But in the knowledge that if that doesn't happen the have RH with the possibility of developing that.

One potential fly in the ointment is there are charges on RH to be settled?
Kimura would be paying for a plot of land and some plans. No spade has hit the dirt at Fossetts for 20 years. If I was them I'd be a tad concerned. I'd much rather have the security of an existing stadium already built but needing a redevelopment (not a total rebuild as Sherif has said).

No idea what this would mean for Ron pounds and pence wise. No flats at RH vs extra flats at FF (well if it ever gets built)? The club surely is a drain on him. He's always said the idea of staying is untenable....but he would, it suited his needs.

You'd be ok with a stadium being built next to your house and having monthly music concerts and stuff yea?

It came from Anna who has spoken directly to the league.

A lot of people have spoken to me over the weekend about the future of the Club so I wanted to provide a short update before the weekend ends. In short, both #sirjamesduddridge and myself have been working every day since the High Court hearing last Wednesday to try and secure the Club's future. This has taken the form of calls and meetings with the National League, Ron Martin, financial specialists and potential investors.

But the stadium would be there first under current plans. You'd have to be living under a rock to not know what is planned.

It's a bit like those that choose to buy a house next to an airport, then moan about the aircraft noise.

Annoying, for sure. But, don't buy a property at FF if you want peace and quiet?
