You can start the National League season under an embargo. This was reported in the Echo back in May
We have already been hit by an embargo? We really are in the situation that we could be thrown out of the NL? How many more chances does that Pr*ck want?

He may be able to pull the wool over the eyes of the judge, but, the NL have stated that the WUP has to be dealt with if we are to compete in the upcoming season?

What a mess!!?

But nothing about not starting the season if under a wup that commenced in previous season?
I don’t think the WUP petition being present last season and into this season has any bearing on the outcome here (could be wrong)

That doesn’t mean there are not going to be serious consequences if no action in the next few days or less.

Weren't Regis part of the Blue Knights. Probably hallucinating. There the only mega wealthy firm locally with property interests world wide.
https://regisplc.com/ They were mentioned on here previously, when the US firm were appointed but seemed speculative. The Regis group have the financial resources and will be known to Martin. Substantial land and property owners, plus links to local businesses including the Roslin Hotel in Thorpe Bay too

I'd imagine it will be something along the lines of are we gonna be in a position to play games come the start of the season and where the clubs at, if there not satisfied then either we are out or a points deduction

That has been said on here, or rather you can't start under a wup from the previous season I think it was. But I'm not sure there has been any link to the said rules for independent verification. I suspect the Trust and Anna Firth will know from their meeting.
This was covered by the Echo at the start of the summer: https://www.echo-news.co.uk/sport/2...confirm-rule-around-southend-uniteds-embargo/

"The National League have now told Echosport that teams can kick off a campaign under an embargo as long as they have a license."

It's not an issue with the Winding-Up Petition or the embargo in itself. The National League were hours - or maybe even minutes - away from applying for our license to be revoked in May when it required that the club's outstanding accounts were filed by the end of that month (this was covered in the reports from the validation order court hearing). It was clear from the club statement at the start of June that there was pressure to meet not just obligations under the Winding-Up Petition but those to football creditors (which includes club employees), which would be a stipulation of the league, and that is what they will be considering, given that there are still reportedly staff wages outstanding in addition to the Winding-Up Petition.
