At least it keeps the shrimperzone doom. & gloomers on their toes they can’t wait for the takeover they have to keep moaning & groaning about everything maybe they will be happy if the deal falls through and chairman Ron stays
Ron stays as most poeople on hear know the club is well and truly shafted .Martin hasnt got a pot to **** in .Taxes wont get paid staff wont get payed .But mr Martin wont lose out with all the home that will get built .That not doom and gloom its a fact .

If Ron stays, most supporters know that the club is in perilous danger. Ron has no cash. HMRC won’t get paid, nor will staff. However, Ron will have ample cash himself, once all the new homes are constructed. That isn’t conjecture, it’s a fact.

DD for a FCA regulated people takes a lot of time and a lot of money. Every box needs to be ticked and every number needs to be evaluated. Throw in an ageing stadium, that could be a potential health hazard. Then they have to vigorously check the new stadium plans, land ownership rights, transport links, hospitality, licensing in the area and infrastructure (not to mention debt and current company structures) with help from lawyers, financial & forensic accountants, surveyors, councillors, compliance checks etc. It by far an overnight task, this could take a while.
 
Came on here tonight to catch up on this thread which I check daily like most of us probably are. I can’t believe the meltdown because we haven’t heard anything ? Has anyone considered for a minute that DD maybe done and the deal may actually be with the FA currently whilst they run the fit & proper tests/checks.
 
The last meltdown happened about 5 days past the last real positive bit of news (which was 2 weeks ago - and I don’t actually know what the news was as I think this bit of news was what we thought it was last time).

In terms of the comms - last time Ron (or more likely TL) called out that the speculation on news was incorrect. This time they said nothing.

The thing that is frustrating us is that lack of concrete news. This is Ron being a spiteful bugger. He’s in a massive strop with everyone for calling him out as a bit skint, protesting against him, getting his name on the news, his reputation more publicly tarnished. This, and prior comms, are his way of getting revenge.

There’s no freaking announcement because ALL PARTIES are under a NON DISCLOSURE AGREEMENT.

For the sake of sanity and harmony this thread is much better closed until some real news emerges. Of 328 pages I’m guessing less than 5 per cent of posts have any basis in fact. 80 percent pure speculation (with many sub categories) and 15 percent inter SUPPORTER sniping.

If we are going to rename this thread (again) use this one for speculation only and open another one for concrete news; closed, pinned and updated daily to confirm no new news to keep it close to the top.
 
If you are buying a house, your lawyers will ask for copies of approvals, certificates relating to central heating, electrics and so on. If they can’t provide it, an allowance can be made via price reductions for you to get the correct paperwork or work carried out. The lawyers working on this transaction will be much better than on any normal house sale - so they will be asking for more (as they better understand the risks) and they will understand what you can live without and what you must have.

Judging by the way Ron appears to run his myriad of companies, I’m willing to guess the paperwork he has is a bit lacking.

Two obvious examples of sticking points could be;

1. No doubt they are asking a lot about the safety certificates - which is right. If the seller is unable to provide the current certificate - either get the work done so you can, or we will have to deduct off the price the costs of work (plus a bit) to allow us to get the work done. That would seem a very logical view to take. But it may require the purchaser to go and get tenders - Ron may not allow them access to get surveys done, is one reason why this might take longer.

2. Is the club up to date with its creditors? No, send us all the relevant invoices and associated paperwork (to make sure there aren’t any made up ones). Again, either pay in full and provide proof or we will have to deduct, in full, the costs of settling from the purchase price.

As I said on a previous message - once you start adding all the deductions, there simply cannot be a lot of cash left to go to Ron, especially when you factor in the rent you have to pay for the next few years, plus the costs to keep Roots Hall open over that time (which will add no value to the bottom line as the plan is to demolish it) and that you are likely to lose money every year.

The value of the club as a going concern must be close to zero. Which is why most loss making businesses are sold for £1 (including football clubs which actually have asssts), which ours doesn’t! This obviously ignores the paperwork regarding the new stadium (which will be a minefield, in itself).

As Ron loves the club so much - he probably doesn’t understand why these rich boys, don’t want to give him any money for the club he dearly loves!
