SUFC: The Future SUFC up for sale

What facts do you need establishing? The club is up for sale. Ron is a ****. Kimura are the front runners to take it over. They have agreed the terms, they now need to complete their DD.

Those are facts. I’m not sure what else needs to be established? If you’re unsure, ask and I’ll clarify if possible.

Steady, if it weren’t for the handful of ITK’s on this site, the majority of fans wouldn’t know **** all about the ins and outs of this club. Players not being paid, transfers, WUP’s etc etc. If you’re relying on official club statements, you’ll be waiting a while.

You’ve got a choice, really. Wait for official communication from the club, or choose to believe some herberts on the internet. If you choose the latter, fine, just choose the ones who have a proven track history of being on the money.

Again, you don’t have to, it’s your prerogative. Enjoy your weekend
Thurrock style.

Obviously the first team is the priority, and where would they like the club to be in 3, 5, and 10 years time

I’d also like to understand what the new owners have planned for an academy, ladies team etc.

we’d all like a new stadium in some form, how will this be funded? Have they got any other revenue streams planned to help make the club self sufficient.

To a lesser extent how will the club engage with the local community.

So does anyone have an idea what the plans may be? I know Chris Phillips was getting excited about them on twitter. It seems Kimura have access to funds, and are run by local lads, but what’s the plan for the club as a whole?
hopefully the first plan is getting southend united playing league football and putting a smile back on supporters faces ,

So now we have concerns over the potential new owners long term plans for the club and their financial sustainability in the long term, let's not run before we can walk here guys! For me even if the new ownership proved to be a transitional one it is the first steps to recovery. Yes we have to have immediate results in short term priorities ie wages and debts paid upto date, signings and contract situations addressed, Stadium condition and possible safety certificate issues dealt with. We have the potential catalyst for the rebirth of our club tantalisingly being waved in front of us. Where it leads us were find out on the way but we all know where we are heading without it !

I very much doubt any new owners will turn the club straight away .It would be nice .but to stablies the club must be there main prioity .

I hope the first plan is to make us a sustainable business that doesn't lose money hand over fist meaning players, staff and bills being paid on time every time.
Modern football clubs, by their very nature, lose money hand over fist. What we need is an owner willing to put their hands in their (very deep) pockets to cover these losses.

The business of the new owners is to make cash loans to other businesses. They will have access to all the capital we need to stabilise.

Turning the club round, moving to a new ground and maximising the revenue available from a new stadium with non-football amenities is a much bigger task. No idea if they are capable of it but Ron had accomplished nothing in 25 years so the bar is extremely low. Kimura played a team on the RH pitch in close season so there will be at least one person in the organisation and thus the deal that is acutely aware of how much **** we're in, and that's before they've done all their DD.

This is an accepted truth but it doesn't have to be that way. We have the possibility of a stadium that brings in money beyond 23 days a year. We need to maximise that. Ron can't even get the sodding thing built.

Kimuira had an Executive Box at the Gateshead home match and having seen the state of our ground will be going in very much with eyes wide open.

I really hope that they ask for supporters help with the relatively easy tasks required at RH, as I for one will be there to help
A month before the club was publicly put up for sale…

Re maximising revenues through non football events, hospitality and other activities, and I would add media and broadcasting, this is actually what Kimura Performance does. It’s their day job. So whatever was expected to be generated originally, these guys are as well placed as anyone to grow it further?

Takeover has officially been confirmed on social media with the cornef flag making an appearance... for the 49ers enterprise division's acquisition of Leeds United.

So, takeovers CAN be confirmed on a weekend... even on a Sunday. 😉
