SUFC: The Future SUFC up for sale

Modern football clubs, by their very nature, lose money hand over fist. What we need is an owner willing to put their hands in their (very deep) pockets to cover these losses.

I disagree with the notion that any business is accepted as a loss making venture. Habitual loss making will always lead to an eventual failure of the business or a need for a takeover unless you are lucky enough to get an local owner with other very successful businesses who wants to throw their money away or a foreign money laundering operation.

i did not say ' any business'. I am talking specifically about football clubs. We all know how much danger the league teams are in with their finances.
Anyway, I need to be more positive about all it all, just in case our new buyers see this and decide to pull the plug.

Wolfy seems to have a lot of historic knowledge of blues. Drrrrreeeewww, etc.

PG Sites services are Kent boys n none of them support the club?

Got us out of a hole 🕳 lots of times last season. I'm forever grateful.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if Wolfy is involved in this alleged documentary that is being filmed, to filter down information to the fans, so they can use our reactions in the documentary.

One thing to remember is that the process of sale is only the start of the spending that new owners have to do.

Our guy found that the support facilities for catering were all unusable, there were H&S issues everywhere, hundreds if not thousands of seats were covered in pigeon ****, the club was locked into some very "unorthodox" contracts and other forms of expenditure and the pitch needed ripping up so that the previous bodge job could be unbodged before a proper effort carried out. Had we as a Trust not mobilised several dozen volunteers (who are still doing maintenance work four years later) I'm not sure what would have happened.

if there are any doubts about the spending power of whoever comes in - bear all this in mind. It will constrain them.

That Wolfy bloke on Twitter has made some comments which does take the wind slightly out of the sails of the relentless optimism, specifically regarding his concern over the new owner’s intentions and financial abilities. I have no idea how reliable and connected this guy is but it’s a different viewpoint to Matt Slater and Chris Phillip’s previous comments about the takeover.
I’m by no means an ITK but I have heard a couple of bits indirectly from someone involved in the deal.

All I will say is that if true we are in for some very exciting times.

EDIT: I’m happy to message a mod with the multiple bits I’ve heard. If each part pans out then there’s reason to believe the juiciest part is also true which really would mean party time for us all!

This sounds great, but there’s some real contrasting views about how excited we should be/ the ambition of the guys taking over.

As someone who is absolutely not ITK, I- like many others- am hanging onto the hints that people are dropping and reading into them far more than the people sharing probably intend us to. I just want it done so we can get some concrete answers and discuss facts rather than trying to extrapolate things said in tweets. I feel like the footballing equivalent of a starved dog: jowls drooling at any morsel someone throws my way.

At least we’re all in the same exciting (but frustrating) boat, standing on the precipice of the future, waiting for the clouds to clear. Hopefully the sky beyond is firmly blue.

Think that is the hint!
Not that it helps even more confused.🤣
