I had a horrible thought last night that the leading consortium bid was headed up by Jack Martin

Yes, I think any interest he may have had, has now unfortunately diminished somewhat. Could be wrong of course, but I think he is now an unlikely (or perhaps not the favourite) candidate for next owner at this juncture.

The fact Lincoln shrimper is very quite and hasn't come out and said Nash has pulled out, still feels me with hope he hasn't.

Lincoln shrimper said Nash first made contact with the club back in December, so must be very keen on the club and is one of the Bidders.

So i am hanging on to that dream until i get Lincoln shrimper or Ron telling me otherwise...

Out of all the previous rumoured buyers I really hope it's not connected with the West Ham mafia, Redknapp, Winstone, Ferdinand, Lampard etc. We could end up as a little brother club to the Spammers with someone like Kevin Noble or other ex Hammer as manager one day. Our Thames Estuary/Southender identity finished.

Could preferred bidder indicate that the deals are also different.
One may want all or everything straight away.
Another might envisage Ron as a development partner,
Another may favour payment in installments as build progresses for example.
