Chaps. The water was disconnected at Roots Hall this afternoon. Presume tomorrows game will be cancelled. 😞 -10 incoming. I’d imagine the league will take a very dim view of this.

Just as an example, I’ve heard that when he paid up the debts most recently, (which he needed to do to ensure our license with the NL), he tried to tack that figure onto the sale price.
I kind of think that's fair(-ish) and expected. I would have included this in the offer terms though.
Another example, and one we’re more familiar with, was his statement saying RH was up for sale at £4.5m. Up until this point, I believe the discussions and negotiations were focused around him selling everything. That seems to change overnight, and was a shock to the interested party.
I took this as meaning he wasn't getting any acceptable bidders for the original deal. This seemed to be a completely new offer to me.
These are just two examples of goalposts moving.
Thanks.

He's free to do it. I wouldn't say it's fair, though. In fact, I'd say it's morally bankrupt.

He is still owner and is still responsible for funding the club, and therefore he is liable/responsible for debts racked up during his tenure.

To be forced, essentially, to pay off those debts - using, I might add, money that he has had all along but just decided he didn't want to use - and to then try to recoup that money by altering his sale price is utterly ****ty.

The game the other day at Brentford was delayed due to no water coming into the stadium, seen as a health issue, so guessing unless it is paid it will be called off near game time tomorrow

Wouldn't be surprised if Hartlepool have already started their journey south although the supporters won't start until tomorrow.I really hope the club are keeping Hartlepool upto date with the position. If it was us and the game was postponed later tomorrow I wouldn't be to impressed in fact p---d off

I don’t necessarily think the terms are putting a sale out of reach, I think it’s more the fact that the terms change overnight, so when it looks like talks are advancing, they come to a sudden halt and have to start again.

Ron is doing what Ron does best, making sure he’ll be ok. His opinion on what will suit him best, seems to change like the weather.
I really feel that the whole 'selling the club' process is just a way of him conning the NL, the HMRC etc. If he didn't come out and say he was selling, the NL would not have let us into the league this season.

He needs the club to survive to fulfil his dream and he is sly as a fox so he will use anything within his means to reach his goal which I'm afraid means conning everyone into believing he wants to sell

He’d do well to keep spinning the same line as a con all the way until completing the new stadium! He hasn’t so much as laid a brick in 25 years, so the NL and HMRC gullibility would have to be off the charts…

Is there actually any update from any of the ITK's about how the progress with the Aussie or any of the other interested parties are coming along ? I was beginning to feel as if this would be sewn up around the time of the court hearing next week but with todays news it's fair to say it's not looking promising if RM has to clear the debt himself.

It seems all is silence with anybody atm...Maybe it's good thing.

in light of today's news there was hopefully a sprinkling of good news, but didn't want to shower everyone for fear of getting in hot water. I'm sure we can all let off some steam soon......... I'll get me coat

He's position now is nothing like it was 25 or even 5 years ago. How the football team is doing is little concern to him. When was the last game he went to?

Didn't realise his accountant was on here. Or his biographer.

If he was desperate to sell because his finances are now at their lowest ebb, he'd have taken the wallop deal from Kimura. Or returned Taras call. Or, as is being intimated, he'd stop playing silly buggers with others that have shown interest,

There is no correlation with his attendance at games, and this situation. Why would anyone put themselves in the centre of a (justified) wave of **** if they didn't have to?

Where has this info come from?
As far as i can see this has only been posted on SZ, if this was true surely CP at the echo would of made some sort of report about this as he would be at RH today doing interviews before tomorrow’s game??
