More of a reflection on the entire world and has been for many years and probably will be in the distant future,it really isn’t nothing new.
The gap between rich and poor has actually sunk as Emerging markets catch up and more Middle classes develop ( Worldwide income equality Index ) but it has ticked up within some countries. Globally apparently the World is more equal now than at any point since 1875

Hows that for some brighter news?

Suits me Bazza, all good news is welcome👍

If that is / was the case it would massively magnify the fact that Ron was sitting on a giant pile whilst staff were not paid for months and reached for the food banks and charity
It wouldn't surprise me if that was the case. Ron would have done what was most financially advantageous for him and if that meant it was better to keep some money in an obscure account rather than doing the right thing and drawing on it to pay wages to staff, well that's what he'd do. We can only guess where all this money has suddenly appeared from to settle the debts but I wouldn't mind betting that if he hadn't been forced to pay the staff by the National League they would still be waiting for their pay.
