Sad news but hardly surprising given the results up there lately.

Still he will always be a SUFC legend.

 Sad really because he has Southend blood and to be honest i hope he finds another club. Remember Tilly gave us some good times luck or not i wish him well .....

Don't think anyone actually wishes them ill, hope things work out for them although might this be time for a parting of their ways?

Sad news IMO, their reputations may not recover from this. Can't help but feel Tilly jumped into that job too soon following the tough couple of final years at Southend.

For me he dragged our club up by its boot straps, brought good times, good crowds, exciting football and was loyal to the end; he'll never be anything but a class act in my eyes. Hope he gets another chance...

Real shame, had been on the cards for while lets face it. He's not the first manager who had a lot of success at his first club before it all went wrong. He probably needs to find his feet in the backroom staff somewhere, back with the kids maybe. Or chance his arm at a lower level of non-league & see if he can re-create the magic.

Gutted for them both. Don't care about Lincoln but am sad the men to whom we owe so many good times have fallen on bad times. No true Southend supporter should be feeling anything but disappointment at this news. Let's hope they find their feet somewhere else and have a better time of it. All the best Tilly and Brushy.

I'm disapppointed for Tilly and Brush and we should never forget the success they brought to the club and good times we had.

Hope they can bounce back elsewhere.

Sad day but not a surprise. Just shows the ups and downs of football life. They will always be legends at SUFC and we should never forget the great times under their stewardship. There were probably many reasons why it did not work out for them up there and maybe some interesting comments will surface in due course. A real shame for them both. Can see Tilly's next role as either an assistant somewhere or maybe head of youth or similar at another club. Good luck to them both though.

I would would agree, no surprise in the decision especially after Saturdays result. I do wish him all the best in the future, but to be honest where do you see him going after his record at Lincoln. His achievements at Southend will be long forgottem by the time he finds himself another job, especially one in the Football League. I think he may have to start looking for vacencies in non league football so that he can start rebuilding his credentials.

Very sad news. I was at the Lincoln game when they beat us and they really shouldn't have gone down after that result. I hope he and Brush find another job in football but after 3 relegations he may struggle.

I'm not saying this because it's Tilly & Brush, but this just shows up the stupidity and short termism of football clubs. They took over a club bottom of the league, gave them brief hope before eventually being relegated. Managers need time at a club, and 8/9 months is no time at all.

I hope they get another club soon, if that faux cockney ****** Gary Johnson and the likes of Martin Allen get job after job then I think T&B will.

Agree 100% Harry

Unfortunately it's a results based business and their results have been horrendous. I don't really understand why they took on the Lincoln job TBH.

Can't see them getting another club after this, don't want to sound harsh to them but I don't think Tilly has the charisma to convince a league clubs' board to look past the 3 relegations and to focus on the positives in his career, most clubs will look at the short term results they have produced and without knowledge of financial problems would you give them your time to explain why they have 3 relegations in a short time period? Best I can see him doing is a bottom half conference side

maybe we should not feel so sorry for the guy .He took the job on and he new the risks .Traveling to and from Lincon probable didnt help . There fans said when we played them Tilson was an IMP .Well it didnt take to long for them to fall out .Still at least he can come and watch us for a fiver .:winking:
