Reading that Kerr has an axe to grind against Tilly, rather like Spencer & Sturrock. Many Lincoln fans point to the poor management and signings of Chris Sutton, rather than that of Tilson.

i have heard most of what the lincoln player said about tilly from a Ex player i know, but you cant argue with his record with us and i wont be kicking him whil ehe is down as i think the guy is a Legend and for me is part of my SUFC love but i said then and i will say know i would have Sturruck over Tilly any day

UP THE BLUES and heres to next year p.s should have a decend player signing in the next 2-3 weeks (holiday return permited lol)

One year on and it's 'déjà vu' (or nearly), for Steve Tilson. Relegation is swiftly followed by the news that he will lose six of his best players, who are on wages that Lincoln can't afford. This follows on the departure of Scott Kerr, their long serving Captain, who moved to York City. Seems as the supporters are not too keen on Steve's news, that it will take them three years to get back!

Here, the majority blamed Ron for our relegation and consequent cull. At Lincoln Steve appears to be the one 'getting it in the neck' and there isn't the history of fondness for him, that there was at Southend. For the academics, we shall see how Steve performs in rebuilding a side (all be it, at a lower level)......................................there again, will we?????

Seemed to of motivated them ok when he got the players on loan he wanted in. When they left and he was left with the same cr*p players who were in relegation when he joined that the problem re-occured.

Similar to our situation Tilson wasnt allowed to have a team of players he really wanted and forced to sell and lose best players without perminant replacement in seasons leading up to relegation.

"Another instance was a senior pro travelling all the way to Northampton and being made to sit in the stands.

"How can a player with that experience and knowledge be treated like that? He's not an 18-year-old."

Wow. A senior player, presumably earning more than 50k a year, being asked to go to Northampton with the rest of the side. What a ******* Tilliy is...

From a Lincoln fans :

"Ring Scott Kerr and ask him. He isn't lying. On the meantime, do yourselves all a favour and take a look at the BSP website and look at the players being signed up by clubs and then ask yourselves, where our signings are and where our manager will be for the next three weeks. Turn up at the forum on the 26th and ask the Board. Go, why don't you? I'm not, I know where he will be."

Does anyone have Scott Kerr's telephone number? I am going to call and ask to speak to his brother Wayne.

I have had mixed emotions about T&B's troubles at Lincoln
Some relief that they didn't set the world alight because we would have to endure endless comparisons with Paul Sturrock's Southend by those with a certain agenda
But sadness too at it going so badly as they will always be Southend legends IMO for what they achieved for us

Legends yes and they gave us some great memories in the first few seasons, but IMHO this stint at Lincoln maybe now shows those fans with Rose tinted glasses that T&B are lacking in terms of management. Don't get me wrong, I like T&B all they gave my some amazing memories as a fan, I just feel they got a little lucky them first two and a half years.

After the free-fall of last season, I am not surprised to see this today.

I really think that we would have gone down last season had Mr Sturrock not used all of his experience and contacts to bring in so many players at short notice and on 'his word'.

Hope Tilly and Brush get another crack somewhere but sadly, I cant see it - many more managers out there than there is jobs.

Feel sorry for the guy.

Nobody should take any satisfaction for this. Although I bet those people with their "Thank you Ron Martin" banner now feel a bit silly. Funny how 7 months change so much, handful of points between us at that point, next season who knows, 3 divisions?

Blimey, wasnt too long ago they were treating him like the next messiah, more so after they beat us at Sincil Bank. Maybe they shouldve stuck with Chris Sutton, like I say.
