My sister has inconveniently booked a birthday meal in leigh tomorrow night so I'll miss two home games on the bounce. That probably hasn't happened for 10 years +.

Hope it's a decent game and a win for blues to send the sad o's home with their tail between their legs.

I'm considering going. I finish work early tomorrow and although I don't agree with the competition I'm interested to see how players like Bridge and Kyprianou perform, and it's Orient...

We'll have to see...

Oxley; White, Inniss, Thompson, Coker; O’Neill, Leonard, Atkinson, McLaughlin; Cox, Fortuné. I'd like to see more changes but not sure if we can get away with them given the rules. Prob expect to see Kyprianou and Bridge from the bench.

As long as people that sneer at this competition stay away, It will be as enjoyable as last time

Very legitimate reasons to sneer at the competition. I hope Southend do well and win but I, personally, cannot support the tournament in this format

As usual you're missing the point.

This will be a proper game so less people will stay away.

You find it enjoyable to watch deliberately contrived uneven matches of men against boys do you?

Hey ho.

I completely understand and feel the same and won't be attending any u21/23s or whatever they want to say team they make up.

Ps. Don't take it personal, I just don't think Wriggy is a people person. Or would have much else to do.

Apart from the fact that it Isn't, in general and the invited clubs only have to field six players under the age of 21.

The Brighton match was a good competitive match and thoroughly enjoyable. No different to us playing Crawley Town last season.

Ps, If it's "men against boys" then the format of the competition Isn't going to do any damage and might drive home the point that "B" teams wouldn't work in Leagues 1 and 2, so it just becomes a competitive friendly where last time, Harry Kyprianou scored and went on to start and earn us a point at Bolton.

Seems good to me.

I'm not going because I normally don't go to JPT games but even if this interested me I wouldn't go as I don't agree with this competition format. My $0.02 anyway.

So your boycotting a tournament you don't go to anyway.

The group games are a real improvement, gives clubs a chance to play the likes of Kyprianou. Even if you don't like Brighton's under 21's being allowed in why would you boycott tonight's game. Lower league clubs, especially ours, need the money from this competition.

That's a bit insulting to Orient. We haven't even seen them play yet

Last season I rather enjoyed seeing us beat Col U home and away, so in answer to your question..... Yes , I guess I do.

It was a good night out last time, watching the Brighton U 23 get a lesson on physical football , they didn't like it when we had the front to kick them ....

I hate what they've done to this competition and I stayed away from the Brighton game as it is an insult for Southend United to be playing matches against anyone's reserves and I do not agree with B teams in any form.

However, as this game is a proper match against a proper club then I've decided to attend tonight. Some people will still boycott and I understand that. For me it is B teams I am against, not the competition per se.
