So it's essentially a jpt game against the o's and people are boycotting why?

Because the format needs B Teams to survive and I don't want B teams to exist in any league system or competition.

I'm hoping teams that are playing B Teams will boycott accordingly and from what I can see, even games like Oxford v Swindon are boycott. A lot of fans are fed up how the league sees them and treats their clubs, this is a way to make their voices heard.

So your boycotting a tournament you don't go to anyway.

The group games are a real improvement, gives clubs a chance to play the likes of Kyprianou. Even if you don't like Brighton's under 21's being allowed in why would you boycott tonight's game. Lower league clubs, especially ours, need the money from this competition.

Except I said I do go to games when they interest me. Usually we are away to Crawley or Cheltenham. If we're at home then I am more likely to go, especially if playing Colchester. Being completely honest, I enjoy going to the games after the first round more. Kyprianou likely would have played whoever we playing, teams rotate for these competitions.

And don't let Shaun Harvey's words fool you, this won't benefit English youngsters. There are other, better methods that would.

A more effective way would be to cancel their sky subscriptions; the TV money to the Prem is a serious cause of English football malaise.

You have a point in there somewhere but I don't remember the England team tearing it up before SKY became involved.
Club has always ruled over country. I'd rather Southend did well over bunch of over paid mediocre millionaires any day.

(I couldn't write underneath the last post for some reason).

Anyway, Surprised to see Jay Simpson on the bench, I thought he was back to full fitness?

He is, but he's the only striker we have worthy of the name, so no point starting him in this s**tfest.

Sargeant and Pollock are youth team, N'Nomo is making his full debut and the rest are dreadful, Kelly and Parkes excepted. Enjoy the hoofing.

Strangely kyprianou isn't playing.

They've done that before, or certainly a match at their ground it happened. I think it was against Sheffield Wednesday and either them or Wednesday made three substitutions after 5 minutes.
