News from London:

Team: Some players
Fans: Some fans
Manager: Some c***
JS: Some where past caring

So sad. I have a mate who's been going for 30 years, and his Dad for over 60. His son started supporting them a few years back and this whole Bechetti thing has stopped the whole family supporting the club. His son, 9, now supports Man City.

His last managerial post was five years ago! :hilarious:
Since 2004 he's only last more than 6 months at a club once, and that was only a year in 2007/08. As much as I can't stand Orient it's a shame to see what is happening to their club.

I think Orient are a real case of being careful what you wish for. I'd rather Ron martin than what's going on there

Tricky one. While Ron is killing our club slowly and quietly, the other club will probably be ok in the long-run but short-term is a complete basket case on and off the pitch.

Personally I'd rather have someone else entirely!

I've had a season ticket since I was 9 [insert: gag relating to me only being 12], and this season's will be my last. With all the works on Greater Anglia at the weekends making travel a joke, I've got no real inclination to use it again. Honestly feels like I've been to my last Orient game for some time. Will be heading down to my local non-league side for the forseeable future.

Have I missed the clarion calls for "boycott" etc on this thread?

I think this could be a very interesting, and feisty game. Call it what ever, JPT, Check-a-trade, LDV etc BUT it remains a competition where players can get some match time and fitness AND show PB what might be a solution to some tactical problem areas.
I expect Ferdinand/Barratt to be rested, maybe also Leonard, MacGlashen, MacLauhlin, Mooney too.
In could come White or O'Neill for Demitreau.
Sokolik and Thomson for the CBs.
King, Atkinson, Bridge in the middle.
Cox and Fortune in attack.

And the young right back/scorer...............................

PB has a GOOD selection problems.

So are people going or not ? The club were doing a good meal and match deal, which a few of us have booked.

I am going and taking some extras as well, shame I didn't know about the meal deal though...

You might be able to upgrade if you ring them in the morning. I haven't checked but its probably an 18:00 hrs start which can be a problem for some, especially short notice.

According to the home ticket sales post 4656 home seats have been sold/given away so far. Not too bad and without any Orient presence. It will be interesting to see whether the atmosphere matches the Brighton game.

They might include sections of the ground closed off, like they did last time.

I'd be surprised if the attendance tops 3,000.

Yep, I think you can discount the South and Family sales from the below, so just under 1,700 by my calculations, but you need to add back in the East Stand caviar, scallops & wine packagers*! :-

East Stand

1256 sold, 1225 available.

South Stand

Upper: 934 sold, 0 available.
Lower: 1137 sold, 0 available.

West Stand

Family: 890 sold, 0 available.
STUVW: 436 sold, 2246 available.

*half price if you attend alongside a member of the aristocracy!

The Brighton gate was 1,275 so it should be higher than that probably.

Yep, it already is.

I'm reckoning on 2,200 including latecomers and Orient fans.

I'm not going because I normally don't go to JPT games but even if this interested me I wouldn't go as I don't agree with this competition format. My $0.02 anyway.

I have for a good many years thought this cup competition was worth a great deal to a club like ours. Leaving aside the trips to Cardiff and Wembley, it brings in some money, gives us a winning mentality and allows fringe players to get more match fit and compete for places.

Wasn't going to go, but after the last few home performances think the team deserve our support. Also bought my tickets off the back of hearing Ranger might be back playing, 2 hours later I see it not likely to happen. However now looking forward to seeing the Cox / Fortune partnership which worked well Saturday during the last 20 mins. Me, my son and his mate coming.
