Darryl's Love Child
Can you honestly see ratty Kev allowing him to play good football like they did at Barnet when he was there?Maybe it’s Currie’s tactics we’re employing now? Who knows?

I think there was post several weeks ago, the last time someone was going on about giving Currie 'a go'. It referenced Barnet fans moaning about Currie's keep ball style when he was their manager. Can you honestly see ratty Kev allowing him to play good football like they did at Barnet when he was there?
Yep.Can you honestly see ratty Kev allowing him to play good football like they did at Barnet when he was there?
The Barnet fans were saying we play exactly like they did under currie slow boring backwards and sideways .. hence they love their new gaffaCan you honestly see ratty Kev allowing him to play good football like they did at Barnet when he was there?
What a weird comment !I thought Bonne only had a 1 year contract? Maybe you are right, I could see him scoring around five goals in the Isthmian league next season.
They don't love their new gaffer. They've booed him countless times this season, so much so, his post-match rant went viral. They are fickle like all fans are. We overreact when we win and overreact when we lose, it's football. The Barnet fans were saying we play exactly like they did under currie slow boring backwards and sideways .. hence they love their new gaffa
Been saying it for months now. We need a proper leader in the team. Someone who can lift the team in the tough games and someone who has been there, done it and got the t-shirt. Its a bit like Arsenal in the terms that we have some decent players but we dont have that little bit to get us over the line compared to City (probably not the best analogy but hopefully you get the point).
Everyone gets too over-excited at one good performance and then it always comes crashing back down the next game. We are a long way from where we need to be at the moment and the squad needs an overhaul We cant just keep sticking with players because they stuck with us.
It was cleared off the line by someone other than the keeper though so why the red card? That's probably correct, but they didn't fluff it. It was cleared off the line and would have gone in.
If he'd have put it wide or over the bar, then he has fluffed it, the game continues and it's a yellow.
The ref was spot on with that decision.
Where in the laws does it outline this conditionality to how an advantage is wasted? That's probably correct, but they didn't fluff it. It was cleared off the line and would have gone in.

The trouble with nuances is that they are tricky buggers to see in the heat of the moment.Where in the laws does it outline this conditionality to how an advantage is wasted?
Once she played on to allow the chance, she has deemed the obvious goalscoring opportunity to remain sufficiently there to do so. This means it is not denied, so it should not be a red card. The laws are clear on this when talking advantage and denial of an obvious goalscoring opportunity.
Everyone agrees it's a red card offence normally, but I'm surprised quite how many people cannot see this nuance.
Yes ! 6’ 4”” Crowther scored 7 goals in his last season at Kings Lynn —and Maher puts his best aerial attacker on the bench. They don't love their new gaffer. They've booed him countless times this season, so much so, his post-match rant went viral. They are fickle like all fans are. We overreact when we win and overreact when we lose, it's football.
The simple truth is this, we play well between the first two thirds of the pitch but it falls away in the final third. Is it any wonder when we lost Cardwell and weren't allowed to bring in the talent Maher wanted due to the embargo? There isn't any possibility that Maher sat down and wrote those four names down as his preferred striking quartet before the season started. Walker was wanted, Bonne was desperation, Pepple was in hope and Waldron hasn't worked out thus far. No manager aiming for the top 7 would want that. I'd still like to see Maher manage us with the players he wants in place, then we can judge it fairly.
What we can judge though, is our absolute feeble attempt at trying to score from a set-piece. We are absolutely abysmal at it. The paceless crosses and the lack of movement is criminal. Especially when you go down to ten men, they are your bread and butter. We just never look threatening. It isn't just a height thing either. Loads of goals are scored by smaller players. It's the lack of movement and lack of whip and pace on the ball. Crouchy would struggle with those high looping crosses. Needs so much work!
100% agree. Plus every year it will become more difficult to go up as teams coming down now throw so much money to go back up and there are some big teams at this level too. For example, imagine Col U come down, there is no doubt they would throw big money at it and likely walk the league. It's great that the club is stable but do people seriously want to watch several more seasons of sideways backwards football and mid table national league.
Crowds will dwindle if this is the case.
Agreed and simply stating this doesn’t make you anti-Maher or anti-COSU.It's great that the club is stable but do people seriously want to watch several more seasons of sideways backwards football and mid table national league.

Did we?We used to get entertainment like the Charlton game every week.
