Some Club Staff Salaries Late/Embargo Chat - now resolved (for now)

And there we go, a perfect example of the issues.

You are confusing the Trust with SOS.
Hmmmm. Don't have the time or the inclination for a back-and-forth but not sure why SOS has been brought into this? We only came onto the scene just over a year ago, plus we were one of the driving forces behind the protest and we all showed up on the day. I don't think blue43 confused anything. They were clearly talking about the Trust, and rightly or wrongly feel that they could go about things differently. Not a discussion I want to have right now, the Trust does a lot of amazing work, but the question of "how much longer is RM going to be allowed to throw the Trust's attempts to work with him back in their faces, take the **** and not be publicly called out for it?" is becoming more valid each time we go around this vicious cycle.

It's just the more militant actions the poster were describing were more akin to the stance SOS had. Nothing meant by it.

Because the aims you seem to suggest we have are pretty much the aims of the SOS group. We have always preferred to work with Ron, rather than against, and that does include challenging him on his actions and words.

He's going nowhere at the moment so far better to have open channels of communication.
This is exactly why I won’t support the Trust.
No other clubs trust would stand by after continuous winding up orders, a transfer embargo every year for the past 3 seasons if we are under one now which we are rumoured to be again under again.
Continually failing to pay his staff,
facing prison for tax fraud and giving our club one of the worst reputations in English football.
That’s the kind of owner the trust will support and work with is it?

I rest my case

Not apart of either but not sure how SOS was brought in there, SOS’ intentions were clearly against Ron with the organisation of multiple protests, and were the ones with the hard questions on Zoom calls against him.

Or is it better to find more suitable future buyers?
That's been discussed untold times. Buyers want to buy the football club for next to nothing (I don't blame them as it's now a rich man's play thing that leaks money all over the place), and some the Fossetts development included. None are willing to go anywhere near the asking or correct price, and to pay back what the club owes Ron. The closest I'm told was the Henrik Larsson lot, but that fell through. So of course he will hang on until he has all the flats built, Roots Hall developed. By hanging on he makes Millions, and possibly gets back his money owed on top, although I know he has written off a huge chunk the club owe him. When all that is done, he will sell the club. I bet he can't wait to get out.

The more observant amongst you may have seen that we reinstated the term Embargo. No need to try and circumvent the word any more.

No one on here claims he has done us a favour. Equally no one on here invaded Wembley during the play off final or unfurled Ron out banner during our victory parade.

All of us want success and wins etc. Most of us agreed with the protest and gave our support. I didn’t agree with pitch invasions during the game. Nor am i stupid enough to think a phoenix club is the answer.

The debt owed to Ron has been done to death on here and as it stands he has never collected. He has stated to many people including myself…. He will write off the debt when the stadium is built. For those that dont believe him him it fair enough…. Time will tell

Either way the stadium still has to be built and there is absolutely nothing we can do if he does demand his debt because it makes no difference….. If you buy any business and had to pay the debt you would pay less. So by Ron cancelling debt he gets a bigger pay day from the stadium.

Don’t take this as a dig at you personally. Have a good day the breeze is picking up and i’m off to meet a fellow Shrimper who works for the club….. I guess i’ll have to pay the bill if he has no money😎
It’s weird that these Ron positive posts get more likes than those against him. Not sure why. Personally I think the guy is holding us to ransom and this magic ticket of the new stadium is all of his own design. He just has some of you jumping to his tune more than others.

I don’t take any of these comments as a ‘dig’. Just amazed that these posts exist against the back drop of current financial/cash flow issues.

There might still be some people who are closer but the man with the funny hair just won’t sell ( for now)

As we have discussed ad nausium on relevant threads there is no chance of him going anywhere until the stadium is built. Then hopefully he will sell and with a shiny new stadium and training facility we will be a far more attractive proposition to any buyer.

It all reminds me of the famed Oozlam bird. It flew in ever decreasing circles until it disappeared up its own bottom...

For what it's worth, I don't believe that we are under an embargo, at least not yet.

No real point to this post, just wanted to be sure that I would be allowed to use the E word thing.

Don't think it matters- it's now the complain about everything and anything thread- long stopped being specific.. Currently the Trust Bashing and who will buy the club thread..
I'm sure it doesn't to you, but it was still worth pointing it out.

The only thing the trust do is suck up to Ron. For years the guy has destroyed the club and the trust have just sat back and not done anything. They only agreed to support the last protests because every other group was supporting it so they felt they had to but then none of the main board members bothered attending on the day.
The main board members of the trust need removing so we can finally get a trust that will fight against our crook of an owner but that won’t happen as the trust are too tight and always ensures that the main board members stay in charge

Oh mate…
