Some Club Staff Salaries Late/Embargo Chat - now resolved (for now)

As this has somehow turned into some discussions on the Trust.

For those interested this was the Trusts end of year report around current position albeit a couple months back now but also reinforces are belief on the current ownership.
Trust end of year statement

The Trust board are elected as others have said, we have many disagreements behind the scenes but we run as a democracy and proceed on that basis. I find it very bizarre that someone wouldn’t want to work with a group of committed Southend fans who want the best for the football club. I personally like to see a difference of a opinion within the board, that is healthy, rather than requiring a board all with the exact same opinion.

We are in this together, I will never understand the in fighting between fans.

If Jim90 didn’t started the sh*t stirring in first place, plus RM haters who like to suck the soul of positivity out of us, especially Blue43.

Wouldn’t surprise me if Stan, Rhys & Tom L. reading this and think “who these idiots are?! What proof they have?!”

'About to be rectified'- so we're coming out of the embargo then?
The Tweet would carry more credibility if it weren't for the fact that Messrs Taylor and Scott-Morris were signed 28th June which was just 3 weeks ago. Get the basics wrong then it does rather make you wonder how accurate any "inside special knowledge" would be. 3 and 6 aren't even close to each other on the keyboard...

Sounds like Matt's hinting the umbongo was the reason for not signing Mussa, which would be counter to what we were told. Who knows, hopefully the "about to be rectified" part is accurate.

I've not seen anything about the umbongo from Chris Phillips which is a strange one.

Sorry to be dim but is Matt Slater meaning the problem (embargo) is about to be rectified (as in cleared) or is he meaning the reason is about to be rectified (as in, it's about to be confirmed we were under, and in fact still are under an embargo).

Even IF there was such a fruit drink at that time (and there is no clear evidence at this point either way so I don't know) then it wouldn't have stopped us signing him? Just temporarily registering him.

No he is suggesting that something has been in the way for 6 weeks weeks but that is ill informed as wrong as we signed 2 players just 3 weeks ago.

ive asked him that on twitter, he hasnt responded. Also asked him how we signed three players three weeks ago if under an embargo

Are you questioning MS or the source of his knowledge? Either way you'll struggle to find someone else as renowned as he is in his speciality as well as wanting to give an trusted information about the club we support.
No not at all.

This was directed at those on here that have been asking for "Proof"

As you say Matt is up there and this is very timely from him.
