Question So how was your match day experience?

Actually we're trying to help out the club by spending some money in the stadium rather than it all in the local pubs, Spreading (pun alert) the love, if you like... To be honest, most of the beers that have previously been available have not really been to my taste quality wise but I'll take the hit to help the revenue to the club. However, if it means I'm going to have to miss goals then it's now a no... Shout out to Smiffy and/or Badge for getting the beers in!!! 👍

I tend to avoid anything that will make me visit the awful toilets! Always grab me and my son a snack at half time though (fix up the loos and maybe I'll drink more lol)

Noted - thank you.

Things like this help. Sometimes the West sing twist and shout (and it sounds brilliant).

I have to be honest it's really hard to gage the levels at the moment, a more full stadium coupled with unknown level changes over the summer. We will get there.

As I say, thank you for the request.
Apologies peeps, I am not there today and forgot to pass this bit on to the match day DJ

No loo roll either in the ladies and now no hot water either.
I went up the top of the West just before half time and struggled to walk along the back due to standing upon my return back to my seat I couldn’t even walk down the steps due to people blocking and despite saying “excuse me please” people just stood there

Well the announcer for the first time since Maher got appointed managed to say his name correctly.

I am still absolutely baffled why there is no soap in the toilets. A quick trip to Costco or a bulk order off Amazon wouldn’t cost a lot to fill the toilets with a Carex hand soap. The South East Corner toilet is now missing a door on one of the cubicles and the end one is going to follow as it’s dropped and catches on the frame.

These are such quick easy fixes and I cannot understand why nothing has been done about them.

I was having a beer out the back off the west today and a mate turned up. I'll get you a beer I said and then tried to get in the door at the back of stand bar. Security says I have to go round and join the que. So I walked back to turnstiles to enter stand with half a cup of beer and walk to the bar. A very lovely young Lass says 'sorry no beer in the stand. I said I wanted to get to the bar and the guy at the back door will not let me in. I am not leaving my beer unattended. Anyway, after a little joke she escorted me to the bar.????

Oh awful, i ended up underneath around 10 people in my W block seat, strangers hugging and kissing me and dancing deleriously. I'm pushing 60, to have that at the start of the match after Southend scored was most unnerving.

And then it happened again at the end, only twice as bad.

The drum smashed away at my eardrums all game and the constant singing was as loud as a Taylor Swift gig when she enters the stage. Don't think i can take all this excitement.
Thanks a bleedin lot COSU.

When's the next home game?

Apart from a new sign & scoreboard.. has there been any improvement's to Roots Hall since early July? The lack of hot water, soap, etc is very poor and could be fixed very quickly. Does SUFC still have a Stadium Manager? If so he/she needs to get fixing some of these

Is hot water needed? As long as there us soap (which by the sounds of it there isn't) washing in cold water us just as effective as hot water.

I was running late today so didn't do what I was going to do which was going to get a few things to "pimp up" my burger. Nothing outrageous, just a little salad, crispy onions drizzle of bbq sauce etc

There’s a new technical area.

Agreed Streaky, if we pour through the turn styles every home game, you start putting soup in the bogs, fix what needs fixing, deal?

Perhaps the better question is, have there been any improvements done which don’t have a huge stonking sponsor all over it?

Don’t see wefinanceanycar.com rushing to sponsor soap in the West Stand toilets, and it seems no-one else wants to pay for it either.

It's all going to take time, Steve Walsh and his gang painted the shop and ticket office. Andy Ward cut down all the mess of plants everywhere, the fans cleared the ground, the beer has changed, they have rendered dangerous areas at the back of The West stand and lots of other things are in the pipeline.

From what i was told by Justin Saturday, TL has 500 odd things on his desk to sort, the most important being to get the area in the North West corner fixed, re toilets, catering and damaged areas and they hope to have that open by January. The next stage regarding the ground improvements will be at the end of May next year when the back of The West stand is completely demolished to make way for a new covered concourse going the full length of the stand. They are also trying to get the Fans Zone up and running. The Training ground is also having money spent on it to get that working.

Whilst little things are very annoying and should be addressed I guess they pale into insignificance in the big picture of things. All of the above is of course happening whilst the club try to strengthen the team on the pitch.

They is also the small problem of inherited debts the Rat left the consortium with which are still being addressed.

John, please don't come on here with a sensible overview that has realistic expectations, this is SZ after all Sir 😉

8.5k people through the gate should help bring some funds in.

How much are we thinking we are making on a match day then?
