Breaking News Season Tickets - now on sale

It may not be straighforward, but it's comfortable enough for most if not all of the "bigger" clubs in the NL to be able to offer some form of payment plan, be it like York (10 months by DD) or Rochdale (3 months via Klarna) the point is plenty of clubs at this level are able to offer something to make life a bit easier for the average fan. We offer nothing. Which is very disappointing when we are one of if not the most expensive season ticket in the NL.

Outside of renewals, Carlisle's seated season ticket is higher than ours, and it's £420 for a standing season ticket at Brunton Park outside of the early bird window. Sutton United (£429 early bird, £439 thereafter for seated tickets) also have more expensive tickets, and Boston United are £420 for a seated ticket after the early bird deadline.

FC Halifax Town, Gateshead and Solihull Moors don't appear to have released prices, and some clubs haven't released non early bird prices yet: http://www.shrimperzone.com/forums/...g-a-season-card-for-25-26.122478/post-2879051

A long service discount I'd never dispute it's basing the discount purely on age I have issue with
The simple fact is in this Country we have evolved a culture that 'senior Citizens' (If that's still a politically correct term) are given discounts.
So season tickets for fans aged 62 and over is fair enough.
Many in that age group have supported the club for decades and on fixed incomes, probably rely on that discount to still be able to attend games.
That said there can be an argument as to whether age should be the only factor. Yes there are individuals and families on low income who are priced out and yes just because someone’s 62 doesn’t mean they’re struggling financially and just because someone’s 32 doesn’t mean they’re not.
You start to move into the consideration of means-tested discounts and the administration of the eligibility that the Club would have to pick up.
Yes in a perfect world it would be nice if Roots Hall was more financially accessible to some but regrettably we don't live in one.
But who knows maybe one day, we can but hope.

Ok, update for all - the Club are investigating the possibility of some kind of pay in instalment package but nothing confirmed as yet.

Thank you Kay.

You can buy a pair of socks for a £1 from sports direct and use Klarna if you need it, seems strange that at a club where you could be buying multiple season tickets, this isn’t an option.

Really if that's the case surely more appropriate to give the discount to people whove had a season ticket for a certain period of time. Unfer the current way a first time season ticket buyer whos 63 gets it at half price almost
It's 62 not 63.Those of us over 62 get a discount but let's not forget before we were 60 we didn't. Whatever age you chose someone is going to be unhappy but doing it this way means those over 60 but not yet 66 get to keep the discount. We don't have wages and live off pensions .Yes some people would be able to pay full whack but again you have to draw the line somewhere.

Klarna charge around 5.00% which the seller has to pay. The end consumer pays the price advertised but it's the retailers that then have to take the hit.
