Breaking News Season Tickets - now on sale

But they can also go and get a job if they required more income.

Pension increases are also given, we have the triple lock for state pension and many defined benefit pensions are linked to inflation.
Rather obviates the whole point of being a pensioner then, doesn't it? The whole sodding point is you work then retire. If you talk to your peers I think you'd find few would like to work forever.

Anyone had any luck calling and getting through to the ticket office?
Nope, been trying on and off for two days now to get through….no luck. They don’t open at 9.30am either….come on cost sort it out …this is no different to Ron the rat days!

I'm popping down to the ticket office today to try and sort my season ticket. Can anyone tell me why some seats are greyed out but others are greyed out with a thick black circle around them?

First season ticket since refusing to put money in Ron's pocket, prior to that I had one for 17 years, glad to be able to get back to it!

Someone screenshotted a facebook post from Kay Fogg (isn't she OBL?) stating the club are now exploring payment plan options. Surely that can't be true, why would they start 'exploring' 2/3 days into putting them on sale? If it is true, surely that'll be unfair to those who have already paid in one go when monthly payments could have been really helpful for them.

I just can't believe it got to day 3 of selling tickets for someone to think 'maybe we should explore payment plans'.

Maybe they've been looking at them for a while but got put on back burner due to getting into playoffs and the final ticket fiasco - that probably took alot of club resources to achieve and that would've taken them off of other tasks.

Just not sure why the news is coming from KF rather than the club. It'll be very useful to know whether this is going to be an option.

Because Kay is part of the club's Fan Engagement Team, so there'll be occasions where she'll act as a conduit between supporters and the club and feed information both ways (including via ShrimperZone's own Fan Engagement Forum). It all helps speed up communication to and from SUFC.

More information can be found on the club website here: https://www.southendunited.co.uk/fans/fan-engagement

So lets all add people on facebook to get communication regarding our club? Very strange, surely everything should be communicated via official club sources rather than a volunteer's facebook? Just my personal take I suppose.

Is it now each season ticket holder requires a separate login?
No idea. I have our grandson on mine - Sarah just said that some tickets are showing as locked meaning you can't do them. All the ones it's happened to seem to be where there is more than one account showing - but that doesn't mean it's happening to everyone who does.

I did actually post it on here as well.

As @Exiled Shrimper rightly said, I am a member of the Fan Engagement Board and sometimes (not just now but many times over the years), I have been asked by various senior members of staff to make an informative post. This was one of those times - the Club do NOT post on SZ but do monitor it, so, when I was given the information, I asked if I could share it and was told yes.

Also as I have said, they were looking at it well beforehand but it was a lot more complex than people can imagine in setting up - I've not gone into detail but the legacies of mismanagement run deep, I'm guessing we are still seen as a financial risk - so they couldn't get it sorted in time for the renewals to commence.

Indeed, the Rats financial footprint, unfortunately in the guise of Southend United, will impact and impeded certain credit control and qualification criteria of some companies and although no doubt workarounds can and will be achieved timescales will be increased.
