Every one who isn't renewing disapoints me, okay so the season tickets gone up but for the exitement and the sheer fact its southend makes 390 pound seem peanuts too me. Call your self true supporters and your moaning about 390 pound for a whole season, you sicken me. Call your self true supporters? Then prove it!

I wish i was 16/17 again,jamie way to go.

The increase is above any inflation rate I know. My wages are not going up 10%.
The simple fact is that less will renew so the income will be less than if they had remained the same or even only gone up a few quid.
With all the special deals the club offers during theseason the season ticket is not good value unless you can attend all matches. I have 2 one for me and one for wife and have had them for many years. I cannot afford to renew at this price, and even if I could I would not on principle. RM has not been open with us and spun us all sorts of stories. IF the money was going to the manager it would be different but I guarantee come August we will have no new signings of any merit and indeed will have let some good players go (as well as teh not so good!).
I wonder exactly who was consulted as I am sure no one was leaping around saying yes great idea, you can spin any response to sound positive.
So having been an active supporter for over 30 years I regret to say I wil now be inactive and listen to the radio.

I am sorry for the manager and the players who are the ones who will be most affected by this.

Think this is very short sighted of the club. If anything they should be reducing the tickets or at least doing kids season tickets for £50. Surely the more people you get in the ground the more revenue you get from burger and beer sales also programmes. Look at Bradford terrible season cheap season tickets so they get 10,000 every match the revenue from sundries on match day must be immense. Also how many casuals are going to pay £21 on match day especially if they are coming as a family. Terrible marketing again dont know who they spoke to either to get opinions if it was anybody on here perhaps they would like to explain why they thought this would be ok. Feel sorry for the manager and players they will be playing in a near empty stadium next year. The answer would be for us all to stand firm and refuse to pay but some will always pay up. I really dont think it makes you any less of a fan if you are carping about this just simple economics we cant afford it Ron and Tara .

Didn't renew my ticket this season after players wages were not paid time and time again last year. If Ron couldn't meet that obligation every month, why would I give him a lump sum?
Personally, I don't think the prices are too bad for a season ticket, considering that it was £380 five seasons ago, albeit in the Championship, but I still won't be getting a one. I'll continue to pay on the day and although that works out dearer for me, I'm stubborn and refuse to give Martin my money up front because of the shambolic way he continues to run my club.

Hello folks

I heard this news on BBC Essex this morning and thought there might be a full and frank expression of views on here tonight:smile:

We have put our season ticket brochure online today so if you want to make a comparison check out the link below, for those who find the print too small click on the page and enlarge it.

just looked at your prices for next season i see your cheapest season ticket is £ 393 and your dearest £567 how many season tickets holders do you actully have ??

Interesting thread.

I'll be renewing, as I always have, regardless. I just want to watch the team play and get a guaranteed seat should we get a big cup draw.

Simples.

Found the following stats from a 442 poll showing the costs of season tickets. Im sure ours wasnt £340 but gives a good idea of where our prices this season stood.

Although the increase is big the claims on here that we will be the most expensive club in league two do not bear out. Some clubs however do have terracing where cheaper tickets can be purchased.

...go away Jamie you naive youngster. When your voice breaks you will learn what principles are rather than shouting from the rooftops that dad has gifted you 400 quid to keep Rons dream on track!

If anybody pays their money by April they want shooting...All that will do is keep RM in the life style he is accustomed to......The man has ripped the pants out of SUFC IMO and still there are those that support him

The mind boggles.

...i know, isn't it amazing. People like Fish only care about a community award and Hawkwell Blue is a gullible sheep, where will it all end with these people in tow, Ron loves em'!

the sad thing is that with 6 weeks of the current season left, they clearly need next season's money already.

the club are losing money every week, there are two ways of redeeming that, increase income or cut costs.

The income could be increased by an input of cash, but I don't see anyone rushing to give the club spare dosh, so it has to come from an increase in prices or an increase in sales

The costs could be cut by reducing wages, this has already been done off the fireld, the next option is on the field.

It would appear that the first option is increase prices, I presume in the hope , as Wise head said, that the team will perform well enough to increase sales.

If it doesn't.....

This is exactly what was being pointed out in the many consortium threads a year ago when self sufficiency was mentioned.

Finally someone speaks sense. We are skint and the club need to increase income. What else, out of interest, would you suggest the club could do?

Such a very stupid move for the club considering the connection with the fan base.
But if this has to be done to increase dosh in the kitty then so be it.
I'll renew forever as long as I'm not dead, that's just the way it is for me. BUt wow the crowds will be down to 2,000 next year. It will be horrible!

Only the news of a definate FF start date at the agm will get me to renew.Unfortunately like last year expect lots more lies!!.Suspect all the money raised will just be used to balance the existing debts
