Sadlers Farm - seriously ? This is the best it can be managed ?

http://www.echo-news.co.uk/news/9623575.Sadlers_Farm_boss__Just_have_patience/?ref=mr

The New Church Road Bridge, passing over the A13 between Pitsea flyover and Sadlers Farm, will open on April 16, along with the new road linking the A13 Southend-bound to the A130 towards Chelmsford.

Soooo....

Does this meant that the underpass will open allowing traffic from London to cut through to the A130 ?

Finally, the Sadlers Farm Bridge, linking the A13 to the A130 towards Canvey, and the new road between the A130 southbound and the A13 westbound will be completed by the end of spring.

And then they open up the London bound road later?

If Ive read that correctly then that will make a big difference. The traffic to London isnt that bad, its the evening where its the worst and if they open the underpass up so that traffic can get through then that will help massively.

Just wish the bastid thing was done n dusted.

I feel sorry for those stuck in it day after day, but the knock on effect it has in Pitsea is quite staggering at times.

It will be worth it in the end but hope they dont drag it out, the less I have to sit in Pitsea the better :)

Any of you A13 people been to Sadlers Farm lately? Is it any better? Will you be clogging up the 127 again this week?

Youll get a fair few visitors on the poor mans road Im afraid..

Yesterday the Dartford crossing was a mess so Ididnt get through to 5 Bells until 7pm when it should have died down but the tailback was even worse. I see this morning they have decided they havent caused enough carnage so have closed one lane up to the Pitsea Flyover.

I dont know why they dont go the whole hog and just throw dog turds through my open window to make the journey as miserable as possible.

I shall see over on the A127 tonight Im afraid!

I was going to venture to Tesco today, think I'll give it a miss if one lane's closed! Night work is still continuing, still only a few more days then the "sweep" from the A13 east to the A130 north should be open.

The Echo said the road from A13>A130, I assume that means the underpass, will be open on the 19th.

Im hoping that will make a big difference in getting cars off of the A13, but I wonder if the tailback is going to be so far back that cars wanting to take it will still be queuing. Fingers crossed it makes a big difference.

Ha! So even that's been pushed back, was supposed to be open on 16th!

Came past it on way home last night and thought then that there was no way it was going to be open today! There still seem to be mounds of earth that look as if they will become roads that seem to have no connection to each other!

didn't seem too bad today though i do head from Canvey to Benfleet (Little boy goes to kents hill infants). Actually for a Monday was pretty swift.

I dont have any problems in the morning coming from Southend > London, its the evenings on the return that are bad.

Was hoping that they would deliver what they said and open up the new road today, guess we will have to put up with it for a while longer yet.

No updates on their site...

Looks like it might be 2-3 weeks before they open the underpass.

Should hear later today if thats the case.

It's a good thing that they're really throwing all their resources into this. **** me I've seen more lively 16 year olds being told to clean their room.

So are you blokes going to be cloggin up the 127 again? I might have to take the A12 option.

The a127 will be busy until they get the A13 done unfortunately. Thought about using the a12 myself but remember that being a nightmare at the best of times.
