Dont get me wrong, I do want him to sign....I think he'll be very good for us on pitch. Having dealt with a football team myself, I understand that every player seems to think they are several times better than they actually are and if RR falls out of favour, I wonder how hard it will be to resist twittering his annoyances.

Could also be putting off PS & Co to some extent.

Not a bad shout. I think Mr Corr got in a spot of bother, due to some "near the mark" Twittering didn't he?

I dunno about this... "Clunimore" seems to be ok coming on here a talking at the fans (I say "at" rather than "to" as he never replies )

Just fear that if he was gonna sign - it would have been sorted by now.

Maybe we have negotiated and he is holding out for something better financially either with or without us

Maybe PS saw his performance in Scotland and decided to give him a swerve

I think we are all missing one key point. That is what PS himself said. He had perfect opportunity to kill it after the Scotland trip and everyone would have understood. Instead he referred to RR's undoubted talent and referred to the need to find a way forward financially. He the said he was taking a couple of days to think about. If it was dead then none of this would have been raised...still may well not happen but probably not as dead as some are assuming either.

I think we may be missing a trick here. With the amount of players who didn't/don't want to come here, now we have a chance of signing a quality player and we messing about. Maybe holding off for a player that won't come to us anyway.

Until Fabregas says outright that he's not joining then we'll all just have to be patient.

The transfer guru Chris Philips says we're no longer in for him and his future will be made clear in the next 48 hours,

Expect it to still be up in the air next week

So RR has been saying he wants to sign.

BBC Essex reports RR hopes to sort his future out in next 48hrs.

Chris Phillips says it's not happening.

To me this says we've made an offer to RR and he's taking 48hrs to see if he gets a better offer from elsewhere, fair enough I suppose but bloody frustrating for us.
