So RR has been saying he wants to sign.

BBC Essex reports RR hopes to sort his future out in next 48hrs.

Chris Phillips says it's not happening.


To me this says we've made an offer to RR and he's taking 48hrs to see if he gets a better offer from elsewhere, fair enough I suppose but bloody frustrating for us.

Or we have not made an offer and RR is using a bit of "creative media" to get attention from elsewhere?

Even if no contract has been offered, PS said he would be talking numbers with Ricketts so I'm sure the Club know what he's asking.

My reading of it is that Ricketts and his agent have said a number and either the Club are so far away from that they they are moving on or that they have been waiting to see what would happen with Paterson.

Sounds like it's not going to happen then. Sad that he isn't going to sign, but sort of happy that we are thinking about finances and not being too risky with the limited funds we have.

He said on Twitter that he spoke with the Stevenage manager, but just spoke with him.

Talks are still going on and both sides playing hardball. I have tweeted to point out to RR that he should join blues as he can't jump high enough to get the ball at most other L1 and L2 sides.

At least we try and keep it on the deck and use 4-3-3 more and more frequently. Not sure spending his life chasing high balls over the top and tracking back will do a lot for his career progression.
