there has been no mention of geographical splits in meetings i have been at, some clubs would strongly object. Sunderland in league 1 are a massive source of income for some clubs, while it is only one team they bring 2-3000 fans with them, Pompey also naming a large following. Teams would not want to miss out on those
There probably will be, but if either of those teams bring a third of what they usually bring it would still be a lot more than some other teams would bring in normal situations, and remember every other team will be restricted as wellAssuming that when grounds re-open to spectators, away fans aren't hit with big reductions in numbers allowed into an away end?.
If thats what the league rules state and seasonisnt finished then there can be no promotion or relegation, seems straight forward to me .Seems about right- your additional insight is alway interesting.
Individual divisions making different decisions opens up yet another route for the legals- if L1 finished and L2 didn't replacing a team in L1 who finished the season with one that didn't in L2 is yet another argument- already in Prem clubs like Norwich are saying no way could they be replaced by a club from Championship who didn't complete the season. After all the EFL's own competition rules say you can only be promoted at the end of the season when the last fixture has been completed..
That’s the hope, but i reckon its 50/50 if they do or not. Apart from the 6 who came out public ally yesterday there are 2 others who would lie to finish the season, there are a couple ion the fence too. Believe it has to be a 75/25 split so of the resolution is to cancel the season the need all but 6 clubs to vote that way otherwise it carries onThey’ve got Rotherham chairman on BBC News this morning. Have I got this right that they’re making a decision on what to do today?
Yep very trueIt’s obvious clubs that it benefits will vote PPG and clubs that null and void will benefit vote for that like ours.

It's ridiculous, everyone will vote for self interest, with perhaps the exception of those with nothing to lose (or win).
Those in the automatics and just outside the relegation zone who could still go down will vote to finish now and decide promotion and relegation on PPG.
Those in the playoffs with a chance to go up will vote to play on
Those in the relegation zone will vote to void the season with no promotion and relegation
Those who could go up through applying the weighted home and away PPG formula will vote that that's the fairest way to decide things.
AND ALL OF THEM WILL SAY THEIR VIEW IS IN THE BEST INTERESTS OF THE GAME OR IN THE PUBLIC INTEREST!
In that case Bolton shouldn't have been relegated last season since their match against Brentford never happened (Brentford were awarded a 1-0 win to get around the rule). If thats what the league rules state and seasonisnt finished then there can be no promotion or relegation, seems straight forward to me .
Anyone see Darragh McAnthony on The Football Show on Sky today, spoke (as always) passionately and with sense over the situation. He said they do not know how many votes anyone needs to carry a majority, that they have yet to be told what the costs would be if they had to repay TV money etc. He estimates not playing and paying back will be circa 800k but playing the games would limit those loses to around 300-400k and would mean no redundancies, they have not been told when the solidarity payments will be made, that Rick Parry stated to all clubs football season would continue and still maintains that.
He then had to leave to join the L1 meeting
