Good old Ronald. Wouldn't be surprised if he made his first trip into management after telling PS what to do and who to sign for the majority of this season.

Total bollocks. Maybe in December if at all, with a month to go a really pointless. We need stability and sacking a manager will do totally the opposite.

December Sturrock was still in with a realistic chance of achieving play offs, it would of made no sense to sack him then. And what does stability now achieve when we're on such a poor run especially at home? A new manager gets to know his team and prepare for the new season, rather than at the end when they have to mix getting to know the club/team at the same time as preparing for the new season. Martin Allen and Brian Flynn this morning said both their clubs are already in preparation for the new season eyeing up transfer targets depending on what league they will be in. Based on this, a new manager would be 2/3 months behind if we wait until the end of the season. Your reaction is knee jerk to the news, not taking all elements into the equation.

Well we all know who pulling the strings from the back room.
He should have been allowed to have lead the team out on 7th.

I have said on other threads RM ambition was to get out of league 2 and looks like we will be there again next season.
Heavens k ows where this will leave us now especially as the club does not have a pot to p**s in

They will have to pay Sturrock off too. That will be a court case then

There is no reason to get rid of Sturrock at all, whether now or December. We still have a slight chance of the play offs and I can't see us getting there with a new manager who doesn't know the players at all. Ridiculous to get rid now.

Sturrock can just as easily be planning for next season as well as any new manager could.

I feel absolutely gutted for Sturrock to be honest and when you talk to the players you get the high regard they hold him in. The timing of this is atrocious to be honest.

Hardly comes out of the blue given the home form alone does it? Wembley round the corner makes it seem really harsh, but ultimately, I think its the right call. I'm surprised it has so many people up in arms tbh. Worked wonders in his first season, failed last year and this. Seems a top bloke, worked hard and all that but didn't win promotion.
