Ron took over with the Sainsburys plan already in place. They were going to own RH, they would fund the stadium....They pulled out......Why do so many of you have such difficulty with those facts?

Unless we admit that, then it makes any threads or the 1000's of Ron posts pointless.
I’ll ask again when has RM ever stated that SUFC is for sale?

Few genuine questions mate;

1 - IIRC, Ron has said that the funds are in place to begin the building work. Where has this money come from?

2 - Why have at least 2 (possibly 3?) different groups backed away from working with Ron?

3 - Aside from running a football club, Ron is meant to be a property developer, so what other property has he actually developed?

There seems to have been very little investigation and scrutiny of Ron's businesses and their accounts, either by the Trust, the local media or fans who are interested in that type of thing. Considering the football club is entirely reliant on him, that seems odd.

It is a constant wonder to me how a relatively small-time property developer can afford to keep bailing us out to the tune of £200,000 a month.

He puts 200K on red or black in the casino each month. So far, so good. Seriously tho, I don't know how he's doing it, but I'm glad he is. We could have been long gone.

I'm glad he is too, but how sustainable is it in the long-term?

My suspicion is that Fossetts Farm needs to get bigger and bigger every year to make the long-term payoff worth it for Ron. I am sure at least some of the money must be being borrowed against things that haven't yet been built...

I thought he was developing the whole project himself from loans from RBS before they pulled the plug , then went to sainsburys around the time we was relegated from Lg1 back around 2010, the fact is what he came he in 2001?02? and literally nothing about the club has improved. I don't think people are expecting us to challenge for the summit but after 20 odd years i think its safe to say most of us expected something achieved by now.

A lot of ours fans can't accept reality, They want us to ruin any chance we have next season in L2 and even risk going bust by buying players this January.......We have to ask ourselves, What would be a players motive for even signing for us and how much would his agent really want?

Spot-on. We’ve been running at 25+ man squad for a while, have reportedly had the fifth biggest wage bill in the division, and have been signing players from higher leagues who you have to suspect will have higher than average wage demands. No one bats an eyelid at this, but then everyone reacts in astonishment we are struggling to pay wages. It’s fairly clear that many fans see a chairman as someone whose job it is to bankroll their dreams and face torrents of abuse when times are tough.

Sorry rib 999 I think think people did bat an eyelid, but the PR machine from the club batted away this, promise this , promise that, most "older" fans could see through the smoke and mirrors and realise behind the scenes its a mess

Bit like a theatre production, behind the scenes everyone running around , whilst on the stage its calm and serene

Lets hope this does not end in a farce

The farce is well and truly already upon us

Anyone know our actual wage budget per week by any chance? Would be interesting to know whilst taking into consideration the 200k per month. We could probably half that once the crap leave in the summer

Probably still couldn't afford that. If Ron's losing money he won't be pumping anymore in to keep us afloat.
