Mwahahahaha

My Bungles are beating Rusty's Racist Mascots.

Just thought I better get my gloat in early, before normal service is resumed.

After giving you a 17 point start, the Native Americans of Washington have finally breached the Cincy endzone, but I reckon you'll still be gloating at the end YB. The Skins really stink right now.

Next week is going to be a nail biter. If I have this straight, Patriots need to beat Buffalo away, and hope the Jets beat the Dolphins. Hopefully things don't go too pear shaped :(

My mate is a big Falcons fan, so was obviously delighted last night they went through. My other mate, who is a Lions fan, will probably kill himself if they lose at Green Bay next week...poor fella :D

I think the Pats will win in Buffalo I_S, but I like Miami to beat the Jets and take the division. Cassell has performed heroically in relief of Brady, but the Dolphins look to be the team of destiny and you just know Pennington wants to hang an L on his old club.

It's a shame that the NFC play-offs don't feature the six best teams from the East and South, in fact all eight teams from these divisions look good enough for January football, whilst the other 8 teams in the NFC (with the possible exception of the Vikes) look like cannon fodder.

Chicago keep their slim play-off hopes alive by beating Green Bay in OT.

I recorded the game and got up early this morning to watch it, fast forwarding through all the time-outs, etc. Unfortunately, my Sky+ stopped recording at the end of regular time. Grrr...

I watched Eagles at the Redskins, went right to the wire. Eagles were trailing 3-10 but had a couple of downs left with about 30 seconds left. McNabb had been throwing some great long ones all game but injuries meant they had the wide receiver equivalent of Walker and Revell playing so there were drops a plenty. They nearly did it with the last play when McNabb tried to find Reggie Brown about 2 inches from the endzone but he got taken out by the 3 of the Redskins defence with 1 second left. Now need to beat the Cowboys and hope the Raiders beat the Buccs next week! :-(

WTF is going on with Miami this season ? Have they had a ridiculously easy schedule, or have they finally manged to get some decent players in.

The reason there were so many drops, most of them from DeSean Jackson (the Eagles' number one receiver this year - and the equivalent of Dougie Freedman if you want to use Kenny's analogy), was that Laron Landry, the Skins' free safety had clobbered Jackson so hard after a reception that every time the ball touched his hands, he was looking up and waiting for number thirty to lay another vicious hit on him. To use an English term, familiar to Jamie Carragher, he completely bottled it. Also, it only took two Redskins to push Reggie Brown backwards from the goal line, Fred Smoot and the aforementioned Landry. I can understand that you thought it was three as Laron played like two men all game long.

Yes, they have had a very easy schedule, but Chad Pennington has played magnificently.

I cannot believe the Cardinals are in the NFC Championship game. Thought the Falcons would have knocked them out last week, but the Panthers QB really gifted them a win this weekend - 5 interceptions IIRC. Check out the highlights of the game on nfl.com - it is quite comical :D

Eagles winning atm at Giants. I reckon Chargers v Eagles in the Superbowl*

*The Giants will now score a late comeback victory to ruin this prediction in all probability :(

Cheeky £5 on the Eagles at 16s is looking pretty handy right now. 3.9's probably a bit long with two games remaining so i've traded off to have £5 green on everything else and £43 green on the Eagles

Not just in the game, but at home too. Astonishing. It's big turnarounds like this that make the NFL so great.

The Cardinals are one of only four or five current NFL teams never to have played in the Super Bowl. Lions, Browns and Texans (who, to be fair, haven't been around for long) being the others that spring immediately to mind, there may be another one or two?

The Jags and Saints would be the others I reckon.

One big thing i'm wondering about is what will happen with Tom Brady / Matt Cassel at the Patriots next year. Surely either won't want to sit on the bench.

If Brady is back in time for week one next season, will the Patriots use him, or keep Cassel and trade him? Or vice versa? Maybe the Lions would give up a first round draft pick to get Matt over there?
