Good win for the Patriots this weekend - Was a bit apprehensive with Brady out now, but Matt Cassell came in and did a solid job over the Jets. No TD passes, but no interceptions either. Hopefully he'll gain confidence as the season goes on.

Just seen the highlights of the win for the dirty Giants and they were excellent. Bah humbug. :D

Bills 20 Jags 16

Bills 2 and 0

Go Bills.

I happen to be in Florida in October, just when the Bills visit the Dolphins.

Anyone been to a Dolphin game? Do they have crowd segregation there?

Theres no crowd segregation and usually as long as the two teams arent big rivals you shouldnt have too many issues.
I would say just be wary of who is around you as there are always someone looking for a row.

Good news is you can drink beer while watching the game. And the cheerleaders.

Anyone see that mess up by the Philadelphia player last night?

He caught a long pass and was well clear of the cornerback/safety en route to a TD. However, he started celebrating too early and threw the ball away before he crossed the line! No TD, you silly boy.

Yeah that was unbelievable, and as a Redskins fan, I would have been filled with mirth had it not been done against 'America's team' - God I hate the Cowboys. The NFC East looks like being the toughest Division in football again this season, and despite the Skins' big win against the Saints, they are probably going to be the weak man of the quartet. I can see Washington winning 9 games and still being fourth. I don't think Dallas are tough enough to win it all - I like the look of Green Bay or possibly a Giants repeat in the NFC.

I was watching the game in a bar with some Eagles fans and when he scored they were going ballistic... and when they saw the first replay their faces just dropped - pretty funny.

Ha ha, that is hilarious.

Also somewhat reminiscent of this Will Carling moment (not involving Princess Di)

I see your 'Skins are living up to their names.

I wondered how the NFL would follow last week's Vince Young milk-bottle appeal, but yet again they've come up trumps with another comedy gem.

What an absolute div. I know the Americans are into their big celebrations and stuff, but to throw it away with 2 or 3 yards was a complete joke. Still quite funny no doubt for anyone not a Philly fan!!

The Eagles, fresh from gallantly throwing away a TD last week in order not to embarrass the Cowboys, just beat Pittsburgh 15-6. great result against a quality team.

My Patriots lost to the Dolphins of all teams. Quite convincingly too it seems.

Bugger it :(

WTF? Been out tonight, so haven't been following it. I know the Pats don't have a QB, but even so. The Dolphins?

My Bungles almost came good against the SB champions but lost in OT.

Yep, lost 38-13, at home too. Cassel, the QB who replaced Brady, was apparently sacked a few times - came under a lot of pressure from Miami. That's the 21 game streak over with now.

When I saw the fixtures for this week, I didn't forsee too many problems with this one. Ho hum...

What 21 game streak? That is now 2 defeats in 4 games for the cheating Pats.

Losing to the Dolphins takes some doing though.

21 game regular season games streak... Was something little to cling onto to help forget about the SB defeat i suppose :D

I think the Pats record against Miami hasn't been great in the past anyways: 9-7 or something like that in recent times. But as you say, takes some doing losing to them, especially at home.

You guys were very unlucky to the dirty Giants - Glasgow Rich will have a gloating session tomorrow i'm sure!

I'm sure he will, but it isn't much to gloat about. The Bungles look like doing a Dolphins and challenge for a perfect season (2007 when they fell just short rather than 1973). Having said that, just seen highlights of the drive Carson Palmer led to take it to overtime and it looked like he might be back to his best. If he's on song, that is a top 3 oops Brady is out for the year, 2 QB. It looks like TJ and Chad being out for pretty much the entire pre-season really hurt the Bengals. Oh that and the offensive line being as porous as a Peter Clarke led defence. I know the Giants have a pretty decent pass rush (as have Tennessee and Baltimore, the Bungles other two opponents so far this season) but you can't allow a QB of Palmer's quality to be sacked so often. Give him time and Ocho-Cinco can get free or he can dink it over to Houshmanzadeh who has a fantastic pair of hands.
